I love that the modern-day tumblr post equivalent of chain emails only requires me to reblog a relatively pleasant image instead of forward an email to a bunch of my friends and family members to quell my raging anxiety.

Let the historical record show that Mr. Beast was entirely ignorable if you were just like doing literally anything else. I've been on youtube as long as it's been around and I've never been recommended a video by him. I see him in passing as a meme. I thought he was a made up joke, a caricature of bad youtuber content miners until someone I trust confirmed his existence to me in late 2025.

since some people in the comments/tags seem confused by it: the original video shows off some 3D-printed chainmail. it's constructed like chainmail, looks and behaves in a similar manner when handled, but is, of course, made of plastic. that's why people are joking around about it.

I think it's super cool that someone figured out that you could print this stuff in a way that creates the interlocked rings without needing to handcraft it. obviously it's not going to be as durable as real chainmail, but it might be good for props or cosplay details. I doubt that it would hold up under much force, but if you're attaching it to a underlying costume piece, it could be a neat way to save a lot of time, effort, and weight.
