Up until the past few months I tried really hard not to be political online. But lately I’ve been thinking a lot about my 10th grade World History class.

So many people asked “Why didn’t the people of Nazi Germany do more to stop what was going on?”. I am deeply saddened to see a lot of those people, who asked such an important question, are ignoring what’s going on in the USA today. WW2 wasn’t just made possible by the Nazi’s and their supporters, but also by the people who ignored what was happening because they didn’t want to make a fuss, to get involved, to go against members of their family.

Get angry. Fight back. Read books, especially the ones they’re setting out to ban. Read different new sites, even from the sides you don’t agree with because knowing what both sides are thinking is important to know the best way to stand up against hate. Call it out when you see it. Don’t let them get away with it.

And, if you’re like me, make art no one on the right wants you to make.
