Tokoha and Kumi's Catch-and-Release Rehabilitation Program for Traumatized Teenagers

(AKA reposting my ideas from Discord because I keep neglecting tumblr lol)

(Which, btw, join us on Discord!! The CFVG angst and chaos comes in boatloads.)

In which Tokoha and Kumi come to the realization that Enishi - with his childhood illness and Company - never really had a childhood, and so they set out to fully rectify that problem.

Featuring road trips, sleepovers, and ample amounts of therapy

They force Enishi to take 2 weeks off of work because "you've been working non-stop since the U20, come hang out with us!"

You know the drill: amusement parks, carnivals, arcades, video games

...Jaime tries to drag Enishi to a bar or club or something because "he's an adult!! He's gotta experience the world!"

Jaime is a surprisingly good therapist

Road trip where they bring along Striders and Kazumi (for driving purposes)

Ample amounts of bonding and angst (IDK, I think Kazumi and Enishi could bond.)

At this point they could be like "huuuuh I guess Chrono also didn't realllly have a childhood. Nor did Kazuma."

Also, somewhere along the way, they meet up with Luna, at which point they realize "wait... Am also didn't have a childhood"

Tragic Backstory™ Gang, Assemble!

From there it's just... more bonding, therapeutic conversations, more angst, and healing. Plus the usual dose of fluff and chaos

The U20 Squad (Striders, Fukuhara, and Jaime Flowers) VS fanmail:

(AKA the Boxes sequel that I will never write)

Chrono got some Chronojet merch, clocks, and way too many cinnamon buns. He also got cute letters and swirly lollipops from kids because his fights were really cool and apparently he’s everyone's hero now, and... oh huh, are kids trying to copy his hairstyle?

Taiyou got a lot of random sun-themed decorations, a hoodie with a lion mane trim, and a ton of plushies. Also, he received a significant number of letter and gifts from older girls who found him "cute like a teddy bear".

Kazuma didn't understand what the point of all this was. He didn't think the letters and gifts were cool until he opened up a custom-made, hyper-realistic replica of Luard's arm that he could wear as a glove.

Shion got the regular amount of (read: too many) fangirl letters, chocolates, and flowers. Apparently, a lot of said fangirls were going to try and get into Fukuhara for high school because they wanted to "Vanguard with Shion-kun~!" Surprisingly, he also got some not-as-cringy letters from kids and other fighters who were fired up from his fight with Chrono.

Hayao didn't expect to have any fans. His fans showered him with praise about his fight with Verno. Hayao vowed to write thank-you letters to each and every fan, while Shion tried to convince him that that was physically impossible to do.

Rin knew that she obviously had many fans. And honestly, she didn't care about what they were sending her. (Of course, that doesn't mean that she won't read all their letters when she gets home later. Also, she's secretly hoping that there were a few packages of gourmet lollipops somewhere in that pile.)

Tokoha got a lot of flowers. Like, enough to fill half of Card Capital 2. About half said flowers were sent by Jaime. Besides that, she got some flowery accessories, fun fanart, and a few letters from her friends in France.

Kumi received encouraging letters, plushies, and many, many crosses. Also, Jaime gave her the same amount of flowers as he gave Tokoha.

Satoru didn't think that he deserved fans. He received a (to him) surprising amount of congratulations for his fight against Onimaru Kazumi and - even more shockingly - love confessions. He did not understand why the world was being so kind to him. He decided to try harder in order to be worthy of such forgiveness.

Can we please just acknowledge the sheer absurdity the “Kuzon’s Parents” disguise scene:

Deadass Katara just stuffed her shirt with melons, did nothing else to even pretend that she was older than 14, Sokka put on what was probably an incredibly fake-looking beard and pulled the most shakespearean accent he could muster.

They just saunter on in with their son who looks literally nothing like either of them, but also almost the exact same age. The headmaster probably just thinks “Fuck it. Okay. Benefit of the doubt. I’m not particularly well-versed in the ethnicities of the colonies maybe this is just normal. Adoption maybe? Good skin care?”

And then when he asks their names, Sokka just comes out guns blazing with surnames- which is implied (but not confirmed) to be sort of nobility status. And not only is their cover story that they have surnames in the first place, but that their name is Fire. Wang Fire and Sapphire Fire.

Can you imagine just being a Canadian school principal meeting a student’s parents for the first time and you just see these rogue teenagers showing up saying “Hello yes my name is Sir Jason Toronto and this is my wife Poutine.”

But consider this: the CFVG characters amidst the COVID-19 pandemic

Chrono gets super addicted to Avatar the Last Airbender and bakes an insane amount of sourdough bread

Tokoha gets obsessed with TikTok after Kumi convinces her to make an account. She also plays an unhealthy amount of Animal Crossing

Shion is actually productive during the quarantine, but when he gets bored he decides to take over the stock market

Taiyou also starts using TikTok, but he makes super wholesome content and becomes known as the smol sun boi

Kazuma and Kazumi are quarantined together, and Kazumi is always making Kazuma do a bunch of “bonding activities” like playing board games or trying to cook something together. Kazuma always complains about it when he’s video-calling Striders but everyone knows that he secretly loves spending time with his brother

Rin is like... an Instagram queen. Even in quarantine

Hayao gets super into gardening and constantly sends pictures of his plants to the U20 groupchat

Kumi is a TikTok star now. She’s trying to get Satoru into TikTok as well but he just doesn’t get it

Satoru thought he’d be spending his quarantine working and contemplating the meaning of life, but instead he’s having daily scribbl.io showdowns with the rest of Jaime Flowers and having virtual movie nights

Am and Luna run daily livestreams for their fans

Ibuki is overworking himself every day because there’s nothing better to do and the Vanguard Association is a Big Deal, so Mamoru has to video-call him every day to convince him to take breaks
