Dreams... Nightmares... what’s the difference anymore?”
I used to love the ‘strong female character who doesn’t show emotion and kicks ass’. But now I look back at it. I’ve only just realised that that was really damaging to me.
Because I always looked up to the unrealistic person who never showed emotions, where emotion was weakness. I’ve grown up suppressing mine.
The slightest bit of sadness or fear or weakness makes me so scared. And I instinctively try so hard to keep it down. And that’s actually created so many issues for me now.
Strong doesn’t and shouldn’t equal suppressing emotions. It’s a really damaging message to send.
Am I creative, or crazy?

“There’s something wrong with me.” She could barely keep from letting it all fall apart, everything that she had been struggling to keep inside her.
“No there isn’t.” He was pitying her.
“Yes. Yes there is. I… I can’t...” She collapsed into his arms, unable to keep upright the strain of it all too much for her to bare.
He caught her, putting a hand on her head, holding her close, “Shhh, it’s ok, they knew you’d never be able to do it. They were cruel.”
Sometimes I wonder if I’m going mad. Or if the stories in my head are just that vivid.
Why is it that I feel most comfortable in my body when I’m not actually comfortable.
The clothes I love the most and feel like myself in, are also the ones that I feel uncomfortable in because people look at me.
I really like legacies because it seems real. Like obliviously you have the fantasy element with vampires, witches e.c.t. But the characters themselves I feel like a relate to soo much more than other shows.
Lizzie— as someone who struggles with mental illness (to a degree). I really liked seeing someone on screen who had that same kind of struggle, and I liked that whilst she dealt with that and at times did release her inner bitch. She still had support and she was still a person. She wasn’t solely her illness. I feel like the show gave a voice to that.
Hope— for obvious reasons, she is such a strong character and I love that. But also because while she’s strong in the kick ass way she also deals with a lot of inner turmoil and is strong emotionally. Also dealing with trauma. But I also really like her because, while Danielle Russell is in NO WAY fat, she is bigger than your ‘typical’ movie/tv teen. And seeing her on screen as a strong character that I love, is actually making me feel more comfortable with my body because I’m kind of the body type where I’m not thin and not fat. And for the first time Danielle is probably the first actor/character that really looks like me.
The show is incredible in so many other ways as well. The normalisation of LGBT. The way which they have actually made that not be the sole basis of their characters. And soooo many more things. I think it is an incredible show.
Legacies Theory
So I’ve got a theory, which is probably wrong but here’s my thought.
So we know that in season 1, when Landons mum went into malivore, everyone forgot except for Hope, (cuz of her tribridness).
We also know that her blood healed Josie when she was shot with the malivore bullets.
So what if she gave her blood to someone now? Would it have an effect on them? My thought is that maybe it could remove the effect of malivore, thus making them remember her.
Thing is. Would she need to activate her vampire side for this to work? Because that’s why malivore is still alive, because she wasn’t a full tribrid. So maybe that’s what could make people remember.
The strongest path, is the one you always return too.

“Why?”
The she turned to face the him, tilting her head to the side. “Why what?” She asked.
“Why me?” He said, “You could have chosen anyone else, why did you choose me?”
She smiled, walking over to him and brushing a piece of hair off of his forehead. Her touch was too soft for the danger that lurked behind her eyes. She leaned in next to his ear before whispering, “Because I like to hurt you.”

They couldn’t move, no matter what they tried. Every muscle was straining against the invisible restraints holding them down on the table. Their head strapped down, forcing them to stare up at the roof. As they desperately tried to lift their arms they saw something move at the very edge of their vision.
And then they were being lent over, the villain’s face spilt with a grin as they stared down at their captive.

Everyone is immortal until they break a promise made to someone they love.
- Mod Jess @abluejessiebear
Most people lost it when they were a child, not realising that the one time they’d promised not to have sweets for breakfast would count, unaware of the impact it would have.
A handful made it to teen hood, before the promises of ‘forever’, ‘always’, and ‘I love you,’ fell flat.
The select few made it to 20 years and even then people continued to fall. Promises of ‘you’ll be ok’ and ‘everything’s alright’ falling out of their lips to quickly and breaking just as fast.
And then there were those who made it past. For decades and centuries. They never broke their promises. They kept them indefinitely, until all that they loved had withered and they were left standing. Immortalised. Alone.
And they’d think that maybe breaking one of those promises wouldn’t have been the curse at all.

“Whatever you want. Name and it will be yours, all you have to do is join me.”
The hero hesitated they knew they shouldn’t but as the looked at the villain they couldn’t help feel swayed.
“Anything?” They asked.
The villain smirked, knowing they’d won before the hero had even submitted. “Anything.”

I’ve spent my whole life fighting to be good...maybe I don’t want to fight anymore.
When you hold me, I feel no need to weep.
How do you know your brain is normal?
Prompt
“Please don’t go. I need you.”
He shook his head sadly at her, “no you need me gone.” He cupped her cheek and she leaned into his touch closing her eyes.
“Please,” she whispered. “Stay. Don’t do this to me.”
He didn’t respond but she felt his hand pull away. When his hand was gone she opened her eyes, and she couldnt remember why she was here or what had just happened.
