Inspirational quotation to start your week!
How to introduce colour of the year blush pink into your home.
One of the colours that you can see everywhere at the moment is pale pink, it can be a brave colour to bring into your home and wanted to show you different ways you can apply it to your own interior
1) Change up your accent chair with a gorgeous pink velvet and brass number like this one. Accent chairs are a cost effective way to introduce a new colour scheme to a room. This chair is from made.com at £599
2) Textiles are another great way to change up your colour schemes, especially from season to season. These great weave cushions from Clairegaudion.com have a gorgeous tone of pinks.
3) Accessories can be added in blush pink, they can also be combined with colours such as dark blues and greens for a soft contrast. ‘Nude’ glass wear (available from acornlifestyle.net) has a great range of blush coloured vases.
4) Farrow and Ball 'Dustiest Blush' can really soften and warm up a room, it will look particularly good if you have a lot of grey going on in the space.
5) Tiles in blush pink can add a slight retro or even scandinavian feel to your kitchen or bathroom. Firedearth.com have some great options.
These gorgeous LED versions of the Edison bulbs are from a British company called Tala. We sell them a my lovely interior design showroom Acorn Interiors.
Hostess tips - Prepare the food and drink as much as you possibly can before your guests arrive, the guests want to spend time with you and you want to enjoy your evening. Choose something simple to cook to help with this and start cooking earlier than you think. Image from http://vinepair.com/
I am all about women empowerment and setting out to make your dreams a reality and a few years ago I discovered a lovely lady called Carrie Green who owns the Female Entrepreneur association, she has the most amazing ways to help you make your dreams come true and being just bloody well down to earth while doing so.
Recently releasing the book, ‘She Means Business’ I am about a quarter of the way through and am feeling rather empowered, I recommend it to anyone wanting to fulfill a passion. Plus it has come with some amazing bonuses and a facebook group full of like minded women.
Most of all I love watching her vlog showing a raw account of the everyday life of an entrepreneur.
Do check her out and watch out for my regular girlboss profiles to inspire you :)

Happy International Women’s Day :)
Antique mirror panelling is currently one of my favourite design accents. It warms up a space, reflects light and can be a great feature to a room or a subtle background. You can find more inspiration on how to use in your space on Rupert Bevans website - http://rupertbevan.com/ a fine furniture master!
Inspirational quote of the week - Don’t wait for opportunity. Create it.
Hostess tips - Create some gorgeous mood lighting with pendants, fairy lights and candles.
Pendants are great at creating mood lighting above dining tables and kitchen islands, placing them in odd numbers are more visually appealing to the eye.
My new planner arrived today and I am so excited! I have been looking for one like this for ages. Hurrah for @ellaiconic. It was packaged so nicely too! 💜👍🏼💜
Cocktail bars and bar carts are becoming more and more popular in the home, entertaining in the home can favour going out, lots of with budding home chefs out there and people getting more creative with their cocktail making, the home bar or bar cart is the perfect show off piece to your friends when hosting a party.
If you are lucky enough to have room for a built in bar, there is so much opportunity, you can have them hidden away behind doors and revealed on the night, or open it off to make the most of showing the beautiful glasses and bottles.
If dealing with a smaller space a bar cart can be the perfect accent in your dining space, and there is some great designs out there whether you are wanting to mirror the glamorous art deco designs, or have a novelty 60s retro trolley.
I have been thinking about my perfect home bar and have put together some ideas for you all and a shopping list…
