galaluna is mine now & i get to remake that setting into something a tad better than what i’ve seen in the show. there are a few galaluna headcanons that aren’t in lance’s sheet that i’ll set straight in this post -

galaluna is a moderately-populated planet where technology is easily accessible, yet believes all cultures & religions are available to practice for the peoples underneath monarchial rule or not. though the three moons belief is common in the kingdom, elsewhere practice different faiths and they’re respected. 

also, savages? really, writing team? wrow. anyways, that shit no longer exists in galaluna because i say so. no racism. like, my god. 

the belief of three moons doesn’t simply persist in ‘heart, body, & mind’ - gender in galaluna is straightforward; there are both binary and non-binary genders, all are accepted in galaluna! hormone replacements are available free of charge, there are more freedoms to gender expression, etc. robots and artificial intelligence are free to have some gender, too! the king himself is a trans man.

sexuality, too, is highly varied - the norm amongst galalunans is having no social norm at all.

though, they’re humanoid with similar appearances to earth humans, their biological differences are structured differently. commoners have toned grey eyes, while royalty have colorful ones - same with back patterns. for instance, lance has a garden tiger moth’s pattern from his - deceased - mother, ilana’s madagascan sunset moth was inherited from her royal bloodline.

galalunans have their own language consisting of clicks and chirps, however low humming sounds are verbal threats. their written language resembles alphabetical script, except the similarities stop at their letters. grammar and sentence structure evolved into scripture meant to be vertically read from the bottom to the top.

horizontal scripture is rarely used in anything that doesn’t involve programming, however the highest scholars choose to archive their most precious, valuable literatures in horizontal writing, underneath several encryption codes and passwords.

In Lance’s hands is some peanut butter lathered over a foam tray and wrapped in a thin plastic covering. He tightly grasped it, holding the peanut butter up in the air.

there’s been at least 10+ visits lance has taken to kristin’s place - she’s moved out into a small apartment and is a gamer. kristin is the gamer. 

unfortunately, rgb-anythings weren’t created yet in this part of the era & lance’s only exposure to gaming were through her multiplayer games - goldeneye 007, mario kart ( he hates it. ), mario party ( he hates that more. ), and most importantly, tabletop dungeons & dragons. 

he’s not on great terms with kristin’s acquaintances, after two rounds of mario party and accidentally destroying a controller joystick in tug-o-war of all things. but,he does enjoy dungeons & dragons.

he has a tiefling artificer named edward with a tragic backstory and the best inventions approved by his dm.

Lance never considered himself a dating god - or a reliable expert on human romance, but he can foresee a disaster coming when it’s right in front of him. “I don’t think a card's going to work on its own. You’ll definitely need chocolates or something to back it up.”
