Highways are interesting to me because that's where the newest and the oldest have to live with each other. In the city, a Waffle House sign seems perfectly normal. Why wouldn't a multinational corporation be feeding me? But on highways, they compete with the clouds for attention. Both exist at once. The Macdonald's and the mountainside.
