Emet-Selch (FFXIV)
Hythlodaeus (FFXIV)
Roathe (Warframe)
Tali'Zorah (Mass Effect)
Sylvanas Windrunner (World of Warcraft)

Chapter 8, "Tell me where to go," is live on AO3.
"Even now you seem surprised I would compliment you so." His stance shuffled, widening ever so slightly, mouth turning in that very specific way it did when the Exarch would address her. His eyes creased in a way she could only guess matched the very same. "Think of me what you will, but do not ever doubt my confidence in your abilities, your intellect included. 'Tis not only the strength of your arm which serves those who hold you up." A pause, pregnant enough to carry a great consideration within its waters. "Perhaps we have not done our duty in ensuring you knew this about yourself. Possible we always assumed you already knew the bounds of your greatness."
At this rate, I should finish the Endwalker arcs by the time Evercold drops. LOL

This is from a wip going over my version of the events of the Sundering. Don't know what I'm going for except for horror and angst. I'll find a conclusion eventually.
"Get, get up… we have to- we… have to make it Zodiark's side even if the others are… not…" What a wretched spell Hydaelyn had unleashed, warping and splitting aether all around, it was an abhorrent, crafty thing— and probably the only way she could contend with Zodiark, he surmised. But contrary to the flow of her attacks, suddenly, all the waves of Light started to recede back to her, the atmosphere shifting eerily all around them. This… was not right. He grabbed onto Lahabrea tighter and looked towards the horizon where the gigantic beings blotted out most of the landscape. His aethersight told him both of them were gathering untold amounts of aether. Furthermore, from what he could tell, Zodiark was… weakened. Emet-Selch's eyes went wider the longer he watched on. If those attacks went off against one another, everything for malms on end would be ripped to shreds, aether and all. He looked around in a panic. They would need to shed their bodies— now. A nearby confluence beckoned to him, the void. It should be safe there, in the realm between the sea and this one. Simulteanously incanteing a complicated spell to rend their souls from their bodies and bursting the crack in reality open, he flung the three of them into the rift. Not a moment later, betwixt that space between their realm and the next, he could hear and feel the terrible cataclysmic attack between the two deities. And then, as he feared… all was quiet. "Answer us, Venat!" Emet-Selch demanded. "You think this the solution? That this is better than a willing sacrifice?" No answer came. Yet… she was listening. Emet-Selch could see her aether behind that empty crystalline structure she was hiding. "I am trying to understand you, to give reason to your methods as one of the seniors of our organization." He quieted his tone, yet it didn't lose its sharp edge. "Yet here you are, not even extending the same grace to us, comfortable in your silence. How can we take that as anything but treacherous?" After a long pause, against her better judgement, she talked for the first time. "What you wished for, would only lead us to ruin. What I did was… not kind. But it will save us." Would she have to play villain to them? Her heart ached so, so much. These weren't her enemies, they were her lost kin- doomed kin. But if she were to tell them… no, she could not. "Save us?… By whose decree?" Lahabrea mumbled. "… mine own." "Your opinion against almost the entire Star's-" "At times, the masses do not understand what is at stake-" "We have always operated by way of the majority's will. To bend to but one's opinion is tyranny!" Emet-Selch spat. "Or do you think yourself better than your people?" A sin of the highest order, no more backed up by Venat choosing to don the clothes of a primal god. She said no more. "Such arrogance does not become you." Lahabrea murmured.

From the next chapter of I Am Not a Martyr, I'm a Problem:
The return to silence settled on her like an ill-fitting cuirass. Awkward and unforgiving with no give to allow for the way her sigh deflated her body. "So, that's a 'no' on picking up where we left off, then?" "Fray, please." Her eyes clenched closed, and she counted their shared heartbeat three times before facing him. "What we're doing? It has to stop." "Disagree." He leaned against the wall near the window, still shirtless, arms crossed over his chest. Beautiful with with the sun streaming across the room making a glimmering wall between them, light touching the highlights in his hair. "You're allowed to." She stooped to pick her coat up, smoothing the rumples out of it before shaking it out. "I have to go take care of something." "So I heard." He shrugged, pushed away from the wall, and strode to her to help with her coat. She let him. "Seems a real pity you can't tell him about our little arrangement. Now wouldn't that be a way to snag some stuffed-up scholar's attention, hm?" Her face dropped toward the floor, but she glanced over her shoulder. "And what would I tell him? The ghost—" "Not a ghost." She glared, then slumped her shoulders. "The dead man living in my head and I are having an affair? That I let him siphon my aether so we can keep fighting and sleeping together?" "You might start with how you managed this arrangement in the first place." Kit blinked. "I am certain he would find that fascinating," she said, shaking off the surprise and fetching her greatsword. "As would I, if I knew."
WiP Wednesday!
@runawaydragons caught me at the best moment! Have a (long) snippet from I Am Not a Martyr; I'm A Problem:
"Somewhat which you mentioned earlier." Despite the tone of accusation, Y'shtola's face held none. "Given the trail of deeds behind you, I am able to follow the logic of your assumption that Fandaniel's goal is the demise of Zodiark," she said. She tapped her fist against her chin. "What I am unable to discern from anything I understand about our situation or you in general is how you've come to the conclusion that we will find our quarry having gone to ground on the moon." Kit's eyes landed first on Y'shtola, then Urianger's slightly narrowed gaze, then far outside the window of her room, where the night sky was giving way to the celestial body in question. "I…" She worked her jaw, floundering for the words to explain which would not further diminish their esteem of her. "I had a… vision." "A vision?" Urianger sucked air over his teeth, the sound subtle yet overtaking all else in the room. "Thou art claiming a gift for prophecy." He fell quiet enough for Kit's attention to be dragged from the window. "Though such a sudden awakening might normally beggar belief, 'twould be reckless to dismiss such a possibility outright, considering thou art Hydaelyn's chosen." "I'm not—" She cut herself off; it did not seem important to correct him. Some battles she had to let go. "I do not know if I would call it prophecy, or a gift, or from Hydaelyn at all." She dropped her gaze to her hands, frowning. "It's not the Echo; I can say that for certain. I had a dream while in Ishgard about the towers, and they appeared. I've seen the moon in a similar way." It was confusing, and she did not know how else to explain it. "Art thou certain thy visions are not a resultant effect of thine interludes with the Ascians' Emissary?" When her head tilted and mouth opened to snap at him, he simply raised a placating hand. "Forsooth, mine inquiry is not to stoke thine ire, only to offer potential explanations." Kit rocked her weight to her back foot, crossing her arms. She searched his face, his expression grave but not stern. At the corners of his gold eyes were creases of concern. She let her posture relax the slightest bit. "Go on." "Thine Emissary commanded a panoply of knowledge of prophecy. Oft he was able to pinpoint mine own curiosities, more than once placing in my very hands a tome containing the specific answers to my queries." His arms crossed as he propped his head against a pair of fingers at his temple. "Perhaps if we knew more about thy… clandestine interludes, we might focus our energies on a more timely strategy."
I tag @icescrabblerjerky @ectojyunk and, since I have to run off to raid, anyone else who would like to participate! xoxo

A couple years ago I bought a cross-stitch pattern of Amaurot from the critically acclaimed mmorpg Final Fantasy XIV. After working on it off and on for the last couple years, I finally fished it and I love how it turned out! Artist behind the pattern is RubyRedThreadDesign on Etsy.
