Day 2âYour favorite OTP
I am holding on to a hercules au you have NO ideaÂ
Someone mentioned babies to me earlier today. I also happened to be reading about eggs. And then I thought of this: Baby Drew with Budew Egg. Â
The first thing Drew thought was that thisâŠthing was the same color as his hair. He hesitated momentarily before crawling over and poking at it curiously. It swayed a little, but didnât fall on its side. âDrew, do you know what an egg is?â He turned his gaze upward, staring at his mother who had crouched next to him. He did not. âPokemon come from eggs, you know,â she told him. âEven your favorite Absol." Drew immediately perked up, turning once again to the green . . âeggâ thing his mother had been talking about. If Absol came from eggs, and this was an egg, does that mean âŠÂ ?! He cooed excitedly, scooting closer towards it and hugging it. âA-Absol?â he asked. "Not quite, son.â The boy turned at the new voice. His father, donned in a white lab coat, sat on the floor next to him. âItâs hard to find Absol eggs in La Rousse.â Drew pouted. It wasnât an Absol? Butâbutâ! His eyes began to water, and just before he let out a cry his father quickly ruffled his hair. âDonât look so down, Drew. I know youâll like this Pokemon, too!" "Not Absol,â he responded, frowning. âDrew, thatâs not very nice of you,â his mother interrupted, fixing his mussed hair. âThis Pokemon is very excited to meet you!" "Meet ⊠me?" She nodded. âYou see, this Pokemon loves roses a lot, just like you! You love roses, right?â He nodded excitedly. He loved helping his mother when she was in the garden. The roses were very pretty, just like her.  "Pretty!" "Yes, Drew, the roses are pretty,â his mother agreed, smiling. âAnd this new friend of ours is going to help us make the roses even prettier!â Drew turned back to the egg and rested his cheek on it. He figured that it was all right that this wasnât an Absol. If it made his mother happy, it made him happy too. And then the egg to shake.Â
I am weak to baby Drew please help
âTonight was fun, Drew. Thanks for taking me out.â Drew gave her a sidelong glance, and his lips turned up in a rare, genuine smile. âItâs nothing. Even heroes like you need to go out sometimes, right?â âI go out!â May pouted. âItâs just that itâs a little more ⊠dangerous to that now, you know? Creepers and all.â He snorted. âYou could just crush them with that superhuman strength of yours, couldn't you?â âNo, that would make me a criminal!â she said, slapping him lightly on the arm. (And even that was enough to make the boy wince.) âIf I did that, then thereâs no way Iâd be able to join the gods.â May turned her eyes to the sky, sighing lightly. âHonestly though, I wish that tonight would never end.â âYou like me that much, huh? Iâm kind of flattered, Wonder Girl.â Oh Zeus, she had said that out loud? âIâer, uh, well you seeââ
âBut you know, those friends of yours have been training really hard,â Drew commented, suddenly changing the topic. âThey must be trying use that brute strength of yours to make up for your weaknesses.â Weaknesses? May tilted her head. âWhat do you mean?â And where did that come from? Drew shrugged. âEveryone has them, right? Itâs not like youâre invincible.â âIâm not,â May affirmed. âNot yet, at least.â That was kind of the whole point of the âgodâ thing. But was being immortal the same as being invincible? It totally makes sense, right? When she became a god, she wouldnât dieâ âSo what is it?â Mayâs field of vision was filled with green. She jumped back with a surprised yelp. âS-sorry, Drew! What was that?â âWhat makes you weak, Wonder Girl?â She was tempted to say his name, but decided against her better judgment. âI donât know,â she answered, shaking her head. âIâve won all my battles. And Iâve never been too badly injured by an opponent.â âOh?â Drewâs eyes narrowed, and in the moonlight they seemed to glow with an intense aura that kept May rooted in her seat. Something had changed, she knew. He was different. More ⊠calculative. âThereâs really nothing?â he asked, staring straight into her eyes, leaning in so that their foreheads were touching. Mayâs breath hitched as she felt his warmed her lips, and she swallowed nervously. âNoââ she bristled as their knees touched, ââweak ankles?â âN-no,â she murmured, swallowing thickly. âDrew, what the heck are you doing? Youâre never this coolââ ââno trick knee?â His voice was low and alluring, and the way his fingers traced along the bare skin of her thigh sent shivers down her spine. She shook her head, finding it hard to speak. Drew hummed, looking a little displeased. His fingers left her legs, dancing up her side and skirting around her back. He gripped and tugged, pulling her body closer to his. âNo ruptured disks,â he continued, âno jacked up ribs?â âN-no.â She shook her head and gently pushed him away, breaking free from her trance. âNo! Drew, really, whatâs wrong with you? Did you eat something bad at the restaurant?â âYou donât even have crooked teeth,â he murmured, pulling back. With a sigh, he turned to her again, this time looking like the Drew she was familiar with. âWonder Girl, you might just be perfect. Annoyingly perfect.â She sighed. âDrew, Iâm not perfect! I have my flaws, too.â âI canât see them.â âThatâs because you donât know me well!â she pointed out, blushing at the indirect compliment. âIf you got to know me some more, Iâm sure youâd find some sort of weakness.â Her exclamation was met with a laugh. âI donât think so, Wonder Girl. Getting to know people involves trusting other people. I donât trust anyone.â âWhyââ âBecause itâs much easier to push people away than to rely on them,â he stated simply. âThey canât hurt you that way.â May bit her lip, choosing what she wanted to say. âYou know, when I was a little girl, no one liked me.â A single eyebrow arched. âI donât recall asking for story time.â âShut up and listen to me,â she commanded, placing her hands on her hips. âI have a purpose to this. Anyways, no one liked me, and more often than not I brought my adoptive parents more trouble than good. And I hated that. There was nothing more I wanted than to be like everyone else.â âSo you wanted to be mean and dishonest.â âNormal.â She placed a hand on his shoulder. âYouâre not like those things, Drew.â His eyebrow arched even higher. She rolled her eyes. âOkay, you can be kind of mean sometimes, but thatâs beside the point. What Iâm getting to is that, when Iâm with youââ Drewâs eyes widened. He rose quickly, placing his hand over her mouth. âMay, donât.â She pried it off her face. âWhy? Drew, youâre one of the meanest, most amazing people Iâve ever met. And when Iâm with you, this whole hero thing doesnât matter anymore. I donât hate my strength; I donât hate me. With you, Iâm okay with being different.â The boy shook his head, and his eyes narrowed as a painful emotion crossed his face. âI donât deserve these words, May.â âDrew.â May took a deep breath. Finally, she was going to tell him. âI really, reallyââ He covered her mouth again. âMay, please, donât. We need to stop this. I donât want to hurt you.â âBut youâd never hurt me.â Drew would have laughed at her muffled voice had the situation been different. He had never meant to fall for herâthis loud, naive, and pure heroine; he wasnât supposed to. She didnât know it, but he was the enemy. And yet âŠÂ âDrew, I know you better than you think.â Her voice brought him out of his reverie. âYou may be a jerk sometimes, but I know youâd never hurt me.â âAnd I donât want to,â he responded honestly, cupping her face in the palm of his hand. âSo please, justââ âI refuse.â She stood on the tips of her toes, closing the distance between them. âIâm not giving you the choice to run away from me.â Drew blinked, wide-eyed; then, with a sigh, gave her a resigned smile. âI guess I have no choice, then. Youâd clobber me with that fist of yours if I didnât.â She fake-gasped. âDonât be mean.â âI thought you liked that about me,â he responded smoothly, coming in close. His lips turned up in a smirk. âWhat else do you like about me, Wonder Girl?â âI, uh ⊠ uh âŠâ May felt her entire face flush a deep crimson as his face hovered above hers. In her book âDrewâ, âsmooth,â and âsuaveâ were things that didnât quite go together, and she wasnât quite sure how to reactâso she just stared up at him with wide eyes. His face came closer and she responded in kind, letting her eyes flutter shut and her arms wrap around his neck. Her heart rammed against her ribcage. Just as his lips grazed against hersâ âMay, there you are! Iâve been looking everywhere for you!â May pulled back to see her black-haired friend rushing towards them, waving frantically and excitedly. âOh, hey, Drewâs here too!â Damn it, Ash.Â
BONUS:
(aka how i actually wanted to end this)
I was still hoping for their moment to end like it did in the movie. *bright light flashes on their faces* *helicopter blade sounds (which are actually wings)* âBREAK IT UP YOU TWO, BREAK IT UP. PARTYâS OVER.â
I was definitely trying to work that in! But until I can cast a good Phil (or think up someone to replace him, though thatâs near impossible) a third-wheeling Ash will have to do lol
âWhy do you always give Beautifly roses, Drew?âÂ
The boy turned to her, a pensive look overtaking his features. He didnât say anything for a moment, and May saw the corner of his lips twitch. Suddenly she felt a minor panic rise in her chest. Had she asked him something too personal? Did she accidentally step on a land mine?Â
"A-actually,â she stammered, quickly standing, âyou donât have toââ
âWhen I was littleââ Drew interrupted. He shook his head slightly, telling her it was okay that she had asked. âWhen I was little,â he began again, âthe place I lived in had this huge garden full of roses and grass-type Pokemon.â
May leaned forward, hugging her knees to her chest and nodding. It was rare for Drew to be so honest with herâhonestly, she was expecting another snarky response like, âBecause your Pokemon works much harder than you at contestsâ or something. But this ⊠this was special.Â
âMy parents and I,â he continued, his lips turning up in a smile, âweâd have picnics out in the garden during the springtime, when the roses bloomed. And a flock of Beautifly would always come, feeding off the nectar.â He shoved his hands into his pockets, sighing a little as the memory began to fade away.Â
âI guess I just got a little excited when I saw your Beautifly,â he shrugged. âI thought it deserved a reward for doing so well.â
May found herself grinning. âThatâs sweet of you, Drew."Â
"You, however, still need a lot more work to catch up to me."Â
Ah, yes, there it was. She stood to her feet, rolling her eyes. "Have you forgotten, Drew? I beat you at the Grand Festival, and Iâve only gotten stronger since then!"Â
"Have you?â he asked, his eyebrow arching. âYou want to test that out? Your Beautifly against my Masquerain. Loser has to wash dishes.â
âYouâre on!"Â
(Happy birthday, itstimetodrew!)
@edamarie, Iâm cleaning my room and I completely forgot about this card and I SHRIEKED when I opened the envelope lmao
I need more boob shirt drew in my life
Drew comes back from training and finds May knocked out in the Pokemon Center lobby.Â
(I am in such a mood you canât stop me ahahahaHAHAHAHAHA)
I totally forgot I drew this thing lmao. Drew and May start dating, and to Mayâs horror Drew is full of cheesy pick-up lines (someone give me a pick-up lineâŠÂ @itstimetodrew iâm mainly looking at you here ) that simultaneously embarrass her and make her blush.Â
May stomped up to the blue monster and pointed one shaky finger at it.âP-pardon me, good ⊠sir, but I demand that you release thatââ âKeep moving.â The young man in the monsterâs hand glared at her through his green fringe. âWhat, canât understand two words?â She gaped. âB-but youâre obviously in trouble!â She waved her arms frantically. âI-Iâm a hero, and Iâm here to save you!â He stared at her for a moment, looking slightly incredulous, then sighed. âYouâve got no class,â he finally said. âNo style. Iâm better off saving myself.â Anger welled up inside her, and she forced back the urge to âaccidentallyâ hit that boy with a boulder. âListen here, you!â âDo I have a choice?â âN-no!â she exclaimed. âThe name is May, and whether you like it or not Iâm going to save you from becoming that monsterâs afternoon snack!â The boy looked down at her with narrowed eyes, clearly skeptical. âGo ahead then,â he responded. âIâd like to see you try.âÂ
I really hate that I had to write out every single word but Iâm mostly happy with how this turned out hahaha
(Also, the reason the purple shirt is missing is because i cant draw it without making it look like Drew is wearing an ugly curtain so)
Based on this post from earlier today.Â
