As soon as she saw that badge, her gun went straight back into her pocket, hoping he didn’t see. What the hell was this old guy doing on the police force? Wouldn’t he break his back or get a heart attack or something? …Well…He wasn’t that old, but still.
Biting her lip, she looked from the fire to him once more…Ana was good at getting into these kinds of things, the mobs knew her. Hopefully they trusted her. And while she wasn’t going to give them away, a policeman might be a good ally. “…Alright, c’mon,” she spoke, taking his arm and walking out of the massive crowd, letting go of him once they were in a back alley. From there, she continued walking, taking a short cut to the bombing zone.
He disregarded the fact that she tucked away her piece, with everything going on he couldn't rightfully blame her for carrying it. Even still, this was no place for this young woman to be. And that got him thinking... Of course the train of thought was cut short as he was lead into the thick of the chaos. He wondered briefly if she'd had some part in this.. she seemed to know her way around the destruction like a rat in a maze. Eddie colored himself cautious, if he was going to get shot today it would at least be so by a pretty girl.
