It's been a good day. A really good day. I did some writing. My son (he's autistic and non-verbal) had a good day with me, no meltdowns or anything. I made time to colour. And I was really happy. Like dance around the kitchen to Bear Ghost happy.

But now I'm just low. Like I guess kind of emotionally needy. Like I want reassurance or something. Or just a hug? I don't know. I'm just feeling down and I guess I wanted someone to know.

omfg fucking horror story but i haven’t even seen the final destination movies and im still secondhand traumatized to the point that i had the worst panic attack driving while i was on a trip earlier this year.

im on the highway, listening to music, everything is good vibes, me and my car are cruising.

now, my car has the unfortunate feature of speed adjusted volume… so sometimes I accidentally end up catching up to people.

in this exact scenario, i catch up to a log truck. this would be fine (not at all but i would be functional) but we suddenly hit a good number of uneven areas on the road.

this is when i make the unfortunate discovery that said log truck is full of logs that are bouncing and shaking and apparently strapped in loose because they start shifting!

i was all but pissing my fucking pants and boohooing about it until the truck finally turned off because for some reason the driver was always going the exact same speed as me (probably an asshole who likes to fuck with people but i hope not) and i could not safely slow down enough to even get comfortably far back from it and i did not have time to pull over and just try to wait it out because i had somewhere i needed to be and honestly in the haze of my panic i was just not thinking that clearly.

i can’t imagine how certifiably insane i looked that entire time. seriously.

can’t decide if i would have been any better off in that situation even if i wasn’t culturally aware of the final destination franchise, but who knows!
