Too right they can. I don’t go back for many holidays, and that’s why they were moaning about me not going back for Easter. It was alright, nothing to brag about.
My parents aren’t too forceful in that way but I definitely have had moments were I didn’t want to or didn’t show up for holidays. Nothing wrong with that. Sometimes, everything doesn’t have to be a big spectacle.

Oh no, no. They get off at like 1 pm. Usually a 7 hour shift. Unless they choose to pick up an afternoon shift as well. My manager would never have someone work all day. I think it’s cute to watch the couples come in and get to know each other. It’s awesome when it goes well and they end up coming back a few times. It’s cool to see how their relationship blossoms.
Well, that’s definitely a relief. I couldn’t imagine anyone would approve of that unless it was for say being a doctor or a nurse. It also must make you feel sort of awesome that the place you work at might be the start of someone else’s epic romance beginning.

The thing is… the cafe opens at 5 am so people have to be there by at least 4:30 to get everything ready for open. Yeah it’s no fun but luckily I don’t have to do that. Yes. We get tons. It’s kind of hilarious to be honest.
Wow. That’s ... dedication, I guess. I don’t think I could do that. Does their shift end at least by 3-4PM? Because I can’t imagine having to go the whole day doing that? Amen for small favors, I suppose. I would imagine it would be. To see them trying not to screw up anything but sort of still wanting the date to go well.

I’m so glad I don’t have to work the morning shift. No way in hell do I want to be up at 4 just to be at work at 5. Evening shift is so much better. Plus I get to watch all the awkward first dates that come into our cafe.
That seems a little bit crazy all things considered. 5AM in the morning? Might as well get in bed at 8PM the night before and that’s no fun. Awkward first dates? You get a lot of those at your cafe?

I can work wonders with an espresso machine, but put me back at home with my coffee maker and I revert back to a guy who can’t make a fresh pot for shit.
You must work at a coffee shop or something. Maybe you should probably take a day out to make coffee the perfect way you like it.
