Poster for Grad Show
Link to my PDF portfolio. My showreel is on my website.
WIP film I quickly edited a hand-in version for my FMP. The order of scenes are mostly random for this, and there are many sequences missing that’ll hopefully make it overall a bit entertaining once I add them in. As is, it’s just a showreel of scenes I’ve animated/started to animate. Despite what it may seem, I still have motivation to make this look complete, even as a trailer.
WIP Production bible Since I didn’t submit a production bible for the pre-production, I decided to put this together. It includes some of the planning I did before starting production, though it is missing some pages. (story treatment, concept art and storyboards) I was already working on the cover image before I got sick, I just colored it very quickly and it looks a little different from my usual style but I like it. I’m planning on making some fixes to it an turning it into a poster for the degree show.
Portfolio website. Still in the works. I haven’t put any stuff from third year yet, the showreel is old, there’s no CV attached and some other stuff to fix.

FMP production agreement.
I planned a schedule last week for the production, I’ll be revisiting it this week once I clean-up the animatic and have a tidier plan.
Current storyboard for my FMP.
Because it’s not necessarily a linear story arc, I decided to start the production even though the storyboarding process is still not final. There are a lot of scenes that I decided will be in the animation but there are also many parts that need revisiting.
I’m also preparing some dialogue to make it more understandable but it’s taking some time.
Cating call poster for my FMP project with short character descriptions. The character designs are still not final, I’ll prepare a character sheet with defitive designs for both of them before starting animation.
Final render of our group
Here’s the link to the drive folder I made for our group which has all of the materials used in the film.
REFLECTIONS
Overall this project was quite a different challange for me, but a welcome one. I really liked working in sync with my team mates and thanks to everyone’s efforts the final animation looks very unique and polished in my opinion.
We all decided on a fairly simple idea at the very beginning and stuck to it. I think this was a very helpful move because once we all shared the workload everyone focused on their part and as challenging as it is all the parts came together just right at the end.
My part was the figure animation, simple as that. The end products don’t look too fun or colorful, but my main focus was to reflect emotions with the movements and I think I was able to deliver on that part. I used multiple video references for the walk cycles which helped me greatly. I animated most of the walk cycles in 1s so the frame rate would match with the background pan and they wouldn’t look unnatural.
Ending animation.
