My first choice of music was this song by Evanescence called Bring me to life. I originally chose this song because of the slow start of the beginning and then it builds up to the climax. I thought this would work well for the ballet moves to fit to. However I was thinking was it too predicable as it had a slow start. I now needed to look further into heavy metal music.
I experimented with the style and aesthetic of the i-D magazine titles and protests signs, in the the grunge carefree, handwritten look; keeping it irreverent and at the same time slightly comic, how people scribble their opinions and protests across a placard to march. I included the protests slogans that I liked: “If you are not angry you are not paying attention”, which particularly stood out to me, written across the cover along side the album’s name, “FUCKNO” and the band’s name, “Nameless”, I think it would follow the grunge theme and aesthetic to have a slogan like this printed somehow, in the font style I’ve discussed in this post, across the cover and poster.
