Deep in my bones I know Patroclus is hot, knows he is hot, and doesn’t mind being seen, but (and it might just be part of the trend of heroic nudity in general) I love that he is nearly naked in so many depictions of him during the events of the Iliad. It’s not because I am attracted to him, but because he is vulnerable in ways he cannot imagine and doesn’t realize it yet. The only thing he can look forward to wearing is Achilles’s armor and that is going to get him killed.
