Idk if anyone else has commented on this, but i’ve realised that the scene in the instrument museum in sylus’ 2026 birthday card is a perfect summary of who he is as a person

He loves old instruments and wants to buy the whole place, not to kick the workers out and keep it all to himself like a stereotypical mafia boss who takes what he wants no matter what anyone says. He wants to buy it to keep it open and running as is and expand the collection because he’s genuinely interested in the work they do and wants to see them thrive

Which i think is very similar to how he treats mc. He doesn’t treat her like a thing he wants and can take for himself, but as someone he cares about and wants to support so she can be her best self

I can see why some people dislike tshd, bc if i were to also remove a big chunk of a story in my head and was left with just skin and bones of a plot and a world, then yeah, i’d dislike it too

It’s almost as if the queer part is an integral part of the story that you can’t just opt out of bc you "don’t like bl" or bc it’s not stated explicitly enough for you
