It's Tintin Day again! ✨

I've been pretty much radio silent on main outside of these monthly posts, but that's because I've been working hard on my shiny new website!!!

I've built up my artist presence from scratch over the years, but as a neurodiverse person creating a proper small business was too overwhelming for me to handle alone - so I've had help from an amazing social media manager to take those final steps! I basically said I just wanted to be a little creature in a cave with a list of stuff to work on, avoiding the overwhelming social networking parts as much as possible, and she helped figure out a setup which streamlines everything in a way that's really good for me!!!

The new site has a gallery, Etsy links, a fantastic commission form if you'd like your own illustrations, and we're working on a sticker shop including clips from past comics! I'm so proud of all the work we've put into this - please take a look if you're interested! 💖

I know I haven't posted much lately, but I've been working on some cool stuff behind the scenes, including a sticker shop coming soon! It's so exciting!!!

I'm trying to nail down a good style (lineart, composition, colours etc) for those sort of designs, so here's a little Tintin test piece while I keep chipping away at it. Happy Fifteenth! 💖

Slightly delayed because I had a lot going on this week - including my cat's birthday! My silly, demanding, LOUD little Marmite is 20 WHOLE years old!!! ; w ;

So here she is with Haddock, the certified cat dad (who keeps a Siamese at home) while Tintin is a heathen dog person. It's a bonding moment! 💖

The boys are missing out on critical fatherly support while Jeff is MIA, so Captain "Uncle Lee" Taylor is happy to fill in! Like helping John overcome social anxiety by dumping him in close quarters with his ol' NASA buddy Steve Zodiac (Fireball XL5). Shaky nerves don't last long when you're throwing hands! 🔥

Meanwhile, Scott tackles his own anxieties with advice from a good friend! Captain Scarlet recommends not overthinking the mission, just trust yourself and yeet off that cliff before any doubt sets in! Perfect for an indestructible man who DOESN'T need to double-check for his jetpack. 🪦

I should have been working on other stuff but the TAG fandom is just SO much fun. The responses to my silly art keep me fed for weeks, I love you guys!!! 🥰

In which Gordon tries to walk it off after another bone-shattering rescue stunt (which looked cool as hell!) but Field Nurse Virgil is NOT having it. His personal private hospital ward isn't officially baby jail, but those sheets are tucked so tight Gordon's going nowhere! >:|

And iR's social media rakes in those thirst clicks, but it's ALWAYS just the boys doing some wild frat bro challenge on a day off - like cramming Gordon down the laundry chute to test Lady Penelope's high-end, totally-not-designed-for-espionage skincare products. At least he and Alan can pop out of Grandma's grip like greased weasels while their big brothers face consequences! :D

Recently my friends wrestled me down to experience Epic! My first brush with the Odyssey since college (being more of an Aeneid girlie) and I'm in LOVE with the Disneyfied animatic projects. Everyone is so creative and talented!!!

Also a little obsessed with Hermes, this theatrical ADHD birdie popping in every 7 years to check on his great-great-grandbaby. Why didn't Odysseus just get McDonald's delivered when he was starving on the open ocean? Is he dumb? :/

Also Jeff coming to terms with not being able to grab ALL his boys in one go any more; frantically computing which life updates are the most concerning now he can only collar two at a time. Alan's happy to rat out his siblings with those huge doe eyes so thank goodness Scott's willing to save everyone! By throwing the Hood under the bus instead, obviously. :V

I've been keeping up with the Walking Dead spinoffs, and the Spanish survivor faction "El Alcázar" has me side-eyeing just because of this guy! So here's an apocalypse AU where Barcelona is in flames but General Alcazar sits a few towns over, waiting for an attack that never comes, lighting a fresh cigar every time Tintin forbids him from some act of violence... >:/

We made it!!! 81 pages (including the cover and character index) of my passion project over the last couple of years - that's the equivalent of a short comic book run!

Thank you so much to everyone who took this journey with me, especially the lovely folks on Patreon who have been giving feedback since the lineart stages. I wanted to prove to myself that I could create a story from start to finish and I can't believe we pulled it off!

I've run the gamut from joy to pure rage over this process (especially when multiple finished pages got corrupted and had to be redone from scratch! >:V) and the unwavering support from this community pulled me through.
