Spring 2017
Welp. Lol it’s over, finally.
And let me tell you, I am so happy that it is. It was one of thee most stressful end-of-the-semesters I’ve had in years. Smh took five courses again and made 4 Bs and 1 C. I was devastated and upset about the C that I received in my online Advanced Writing course. I was like really? And to think that I’ve gotten better at the stupid mechanic errors that I tend to have in all my papers. My biggest paper of the semester I worked so hard on and got an 87 on it because of mechanical errors! That's stupid! And embarrassing, to say the least since I”m going to school to be an educator. Like...how are parents and staff suppose to respect me if I dont know how to write ? Smh but anyway. I mean overall it was a good semester, and I felt like I lern a lot. I appssed them all and that may just matter after all. Looking forward to my summer course that I”ll be taking at TCC starting next month, Physchology, I”m stoaked about it. Then onto a another full load of classes in the fall, believe I”m taking 1 credits! Comone on Fall 2018!! This is my time! ((:
March 30th 2017
So, I was sitting Sonic gettin the baby some lunch and her father and I something sweet to drink. I looked at my phone and saw I had a missed call, I tend to have my phone on vibrate a lot..but anyway, the missed call. So I thought it was Student Life, because I had just called them about the 5k my school is hosting. But I looked down and saw that it was the same number, but indeed it was a number connected to my school. Instead.of calling back, they left a voicemail! I love voicemail actually, just hate checking them lol if that makes sense 😅. And it was my school calling me to tell me I got accepted into grad school!!! 😎 I am so happy I instantly cried!!! I was so scared and nervous that I wasn't going to get accepted because of my writing, but I guess I did well lol. I'm stoked and so happy!!! Lol so close to getting both my degress!!!
How I feel every time someone say this to me…. 😐😕😶 #BlackGirlProblems #BlackPeopleProblems #EducatedBlackWoman #ItsAShame #TheIgnoranceIsReal
End of the semester!
Didn't write as much as I would had liked, expected and wanted to but what the hay that's life. I'll be picking up my writings for my study blog for sure next semester! But anywho, yes, end of the semester!! I have one more final to do and my professor is trying to get me to come to his office to take anger multiple attempts of trying to take it online. I do not want to do that! And worse of all I simply can't! I have my daughter today and she's a huge distraction! I took my other online exam while she took a nap, which was heavenly by the way! Lol. I'll be doing a grade update here soon, hopefully at the end of this week beginning of next! Goal is of course to have all As, but I may be looking at 3 As and 2 Bs, we'll see!! This semester was an okay one to be honest, I learned some things but not as much, seemed like I was so swamped in projects and work that I feel like I didn't actually learn anything. I know for sure it was like that in my classroom management class 😯😕. I hope to have a more productive one next semester!
Midterms are coming up!
And with that being said I shall update yall with grades (:
Fine Arts Elementary: 95
Exploring World Literature: 91
Language Acquisition: 92
Classroom Inst/Assess/Mgt: 97
Multicultural Education: N/A
There it is folks lol my grades thus far! Nothing has been recorded for multicultural education, and I’m kinda salty about that lol. But then again I barely did three assignments and only one is graded yet I still don’t know the grade (-_- lol, hopefully I’m in A standing in there as well. (^_^ So proud of myself, thank You Jesus for keeping me sane<3 lol.
9.16 basically this week’s productivity ; I put way more effort into this picture than I’m willing to admit of but hey, I put in the work so I can be as proud of it as I want :) also I don’t think I showed my new study space bc college so here it is!!
2:45am paperrr.
I literally just finished writing a five page paper, with ease.
Like, wth just happened, how was that even possible. Think it was the grace of God...’cause these past few days have been poo poo for me. Fa real. Finally got some emotions off my chest to the person that needed to hear, he did also. Can’t wait to see him again tomorrow, I miss him already. Gonna talk some more also...but that’s mush stuff for another post on another blog.
Anywho, back to this five page paper that I just wrote with such elegance. It’s about education, of course, and it’s actually a professional literature review. Had to read a book about education, I choose Faber & Mazlish’s “How to talk so kids can learn at home and in school”, which by the way was an excellent read! I was very excited to read this book simply because I knew it would benefit me as both a parent and educator, and sure ‘nough it did.
I’m really considering getting on my beloved Amazon to see if this book is available, which I’m sure it is ‘cause it’s freaking Amazon for crying out loud lol, and purchasing it. Like...this was an amazing book. Everyone wants to talk about the money, the decorations of classrooms, the supplies, the organization, heck even the perks of being a teacher but no one wants to talk about the tears, the frustration, the headaches, the loud kids and even the loud parents, all the..”bad” things teachers go through. Those are also a part of being a teacher and perhaps some all teacher’s reality.
I’m nervous, and scared of my first year. I am, period. However reading this book has definitely eased those emotions down a tad. This book touches things that people don’t want to talk about. Like, some people really think they know to talk to children, it’s a science..really, it’s not something you just k now how to do unless...noap like I said something you just know how to do. Even us parents think we know how to talk to children, lol boy was I wrong. Reading this text was an eye opener for me and the way I talk to my daughter now and she’s only two years old, imagine when she gets school-aged around four or so. Very interesting journey it’ll continue to be. Very interesting.
Thought about doing a grade update but it hasn't even hit a month yet and two of my courses don't have any grades recorded, so nevermind.
Double.
I have to work a double tomorrow and I absolutely do not want to. I’d rather be off, getting my stuff together for the new home and studying. Period.
I have a rough draft due for a 5 page paper over a book I read, which by the way I enjoyed very much and was very interesting, next Wednesday. That’s for my Int/Asset/ClssMgt course. Once I get my outlined down my paper will be breeze, so I pray so anyway. May or may not get a chance to do it tomorrow. I high-key wanna write it out now that way I can dive right into my paper Sunday after work. Decisions. Although there won’t be class all next week due to EEE, I still have assignments to do and that are due. Go figure. No worries though, already have a couple things checked of my to do list.

Feeling pretty good about the semester so far. Thought I was going to lose my head the very first week or two but once I got a routine and got a feel for the classes and professors I’m starting to pull it together pretty well. It’s a lot so far and it’s hasn't even been a full month’s worth of school yet. First month will be on the 17th. Smh.
Grinds my gears that I literally aimed for a 100 but got a 80 on this freaking quiz. Truly thought I had it in the bag. Blah.

Hmm organization.
I definitely love my mobile calender however I may just invest in a bullet journal . They're cute and look like it could me a lot as far as check lists for each class and just simply physically looking at what's due ahead. Decisions!
biology notes :: transport in plants 😁🍃🤘🏻
If I took a science course as such I'd definitely have notes like this lol
August 2nd.
Well, the countdown begins.
Actually it started yesterday but yeah lol. School in 16 more days, a little over two weeks. I am excited and nervous at the same time. I need to get online and see if syllabuses have been posted to see what books ill need and start price matching lol. Nine times out of ten I will be on Amazon getting my books. Wow, 15 credits this semester. I am freaking out on the inside (>_<
