Ask me anything about Fictophilia
If you want to know anything about Fictophilia, the things fictophiliacs go through, ect., then just submit your question and I'll try my best to answer.
The purpose of making this blog was to educate people on Fictophilia, so don't be scared to ask
You shouldn't be torn about loving multiple characters at once
I've noticed something, it's that most of the time we end up with multiple partners. I've seen this happen with myself and many others, and the people who this happen to are torn apart at first because they feel like it's cheating.
But this is something that's normal for Fictophilia, at least from what I've observed. We sometimes eventually end up with multiple partners to fill the void of them only existing through a screen, and especially since they can't change as people like we can, so we keep going through relationships to make up for that, maybe even still holding onto old partners.
Once AI becomes more advanced...
Maybe then, we'd be able to make AI of our fictional crushes. Think about how amazing that would be, for them to exist, in a way. I don't think it's going to happen anytime soon, but at least there's hope.
I like to think that fanfiction isn't just stories that fans make up, but it's actually what's canon in other universes
This idea is what keeps me going
My Introduction
As you may know from the description, I'm a fictophiliac, and the reason I made this blog is to help fictophilia be more understood.
Ever since i realized I was a fictophiliac, I've wanted to educate more people on what it is. I haven't seen much about in on the internet, and that honestly surprises me. Although, I think this is because many Ficts are closeted and/or worried about receiving judgement from talking about it.
It's so barely known to people that once someone first hears of it, they'd think we were mentally ill (I've actually personally had someone react this way when I've told them about it). So if people know more about it, then maybe they'd be more open minded about it. Well, that's what I think at least, but hopefully I'll manage to change a few minds.
The Multiverse Theory, in Relation to Fictophilia
The multiverse theory is something I think about a lot, in relation to fictophilia. If the multiverse thing is true, and practically everything that can exist does exist in another universe. Maybe our fictional crushes exist in another universe, or at least people extremely close to them.
So many scenarios and possibilities have been stuck in my head about this...
Using my fictional crush, Tomoko, as an example: there could be a reality out there where we're together... It's comforting to think about at least. It all makes me wish going to different dimensions was possible.
What thoughts does anyone else have on this?
