Let me preface this by stating that I’m not a New York Metropolitans fan. I’m a Yankees fan. I emphatically love the sport of baseball and it just so happens that I live in the greatest city in the world and there are two major market ball clubs. I’m not a poser. I don’t claim to “believe.” I don’t call my friends up after a win and shout into the phone like a madman, “The Team; The Time; The Celebration!” I just love taking pictures and watching baseball.
I don’t take enough pictures. It’s something I love to do, but feel as if I never have enough time to devote to it. I am drained by the weekends and it’s really nice to give my mind a mental break from the computer. Editing photos is very time consuming and tedious. The last thing I want to do is hang out inside when I could be living outside. A few weekends ago I decided I needed to eat like a slob and since the Yankees were out of town, I headed on down to Citi Field to give my mind a break.
Since I have Matt Harvey on my fantasy baseball team, I thought it was an excellent opportunity to get my ass out of the house. It was a wise decision. He repaid me by hitting the first home run of his career.
All in all, it was a pretty chill day. So chill, that after the game, the Good Humor man handed out free ice cream. I should do this more often.
