one thing to know about me is that when i was in 5th grade my family adopted a chihuahua and just to placate my ass, my family decided to name the dog “Edward’s Isabella.” we called her Izzy but still. can you imagine if my dog went to dog school? with a name like that her ass would get bullied so fucking hard by the other dogs. like y’all thought renesmee was bad

edward when bella gets sick hcs

obviously our boy is quite the stickler for the dramatics in general (i.e. new moon)

but because he almost fuckin died from the Spanish flu he would prob take illness to Another Extreme

so when bella gets the flu he Flips His Shit

he constantly is asking alice to check her future to see if she’ll be okay

and alice is like “edward it’s the common flu calm the fuck down”

and he’s like “well you know what we thought the Spanish influenza was the common flu and look at me now”

anyway he is constantly at bella’s side

he brings her soup and is always with her when she goes to the bathroom

and she’s like “edward please I look awful don’t follow me in here to puke my guts out”

and he’s like “you look fine. just let me help. just to reassure myself”

and bella can’t say no to him so she lets him pull her hair back as she pukes

he rubs soothing circles on her back and lays with her to cool her body temperature down while she has a fever

charlie is like “wtf Edward aren’t you scared about getting sick why are you here so much anyway”

and he’s just like “I got my flu shot unlike some people” and pointedly looks at bella

he makes her go to carlisle for a check up like twice a day for the first couple days while she’s sick

until finally her and carlisle are like “That’s Enough Stop This Nonsense”

and he’s pouty but accept maybe he’s going just a tad bit overboard

one day while bella is getting better she is like “why are you going so overboard with making me feel better?”

and he smiles and is like “love, have you forgotten how I almost died?”

and she smiles and hugs him

after a while she looks up at him and say “you know I’m glad you got that flu”

and he’s perplexed like What The Fuck Bella

she just answers “without it we would have never met!”

and he’s like “I literally almost died but ok”

but they laugh and cuddle and all that fluffy nonsense

i have a headcanon where emmett would HATE killing spiders. alice/edward are TERRIFIED of them (which is really stupid because they are vampires and spiders can’t hurt them) but spiders just creep them out. and emmett refuses to let anyone kill any spiders they come across. one time rosalie did on accident and emmett wouldn’t speak to her for a week. he just thinks they are little defenseless, harmless creatures and every time he comes across one he gently picks them up and puts them outside while blowing a kiss at it. (esme wouldn’t let him keep a pet tarantula because it freaked everyone out too much)
