Charlie watched him skeptically, waiting for him to laugh and say he was joking and walk out. When he didn't after a few moments she let out a big sigh. Her and Eddie never really 'talked' like this but she needed someone right now. She wiped at her tear stained cheeks before she began with a shaky tone,"I've been seeing this guy for a few weeks. H-he was handsome, and came from a good family and so sweet to me," she sniffled looking away. It was weird to talk about boy problems with her little brother but she felt like everything was going to explode if she didn't talk to someone. "I went to surprise him earlier and overheard him and his friends talking about how his family is going to love that he's dating a /princess/," she spat out the word like it was some virus, "and how great I am for his image and how Dad can really help him go places," she choked on her words. "I'm just so sick of people seeing my.. Our status and only thinking of the benefits for them," she looked up at him, her eyes shining with tears. "So there you go. That's what is wrong. I'm tired of being an object and not a person. Pathetic princess problems, right?" She said sarcastically, looking at him again, once again expecting him to laugh at her.
Oh. Boy troubles. He surely wasn't the person to talk to about that, yet here he was, listening to his sister as she blubbered about some prick that only seemed to care about what she was instead of who she was. They weren't strangers to people taking advantage of them in this way, but he understood all too well what a pain in the ass it was.
"What a sod," He mumbled as he lifted a hand to scratch at the scruff on his jaw. "You know," He had to think of how to word it..she was a girl, after all. Girls were delicate and needed things to be explained as gently as possible. He sucked at that. "He's lucky you even gave him the time of day, Char. Guys are dumb, I'd know." He lifted a brow. "But it doesn't make it any easier to be us. At all. People only see dollar signs or opportunities instead of a person. They suck. The one thing I can tell you is to remind people who you are, and that you won't stand for their shite. As much as we want to be equal to them, we're not. We're far, far above them. This boy..." He frowned. "It's his fault. He's stupid and you should show him just how disposable he truly is."
