“I watch Harry Potter, or I facetime with Tom since he’s always up at night because of the time change, I’m just more productive at night I guess because I work all day long most days so then I have to go home and take care of my personal things that most normal people do during the day.” Zendaya shrugged, she’d settled into the groove of staying up late and waking up super early years ago and at that point, she was really just used to it. “You’re going to be thirty-two in like two months! That’s like really old. Not really, but kind of, you know? It just seems old because thirty is like crazy old, in comparison to being twenty or something but ti’s young compared to our parents and stuff and wow I’m just digging myself into my own grave.” Zendaya laughed nervously, and she secretly wondered how Zac felt about the whole marriage and kids thing. Zendaya had always said she would work as much as she wanted to and she’d have kids when she was in her late twenties or thirties but she quickly stopped herself from getting too far ahead. “Michael is definitely a flirt, I wouldn’t blame you if he managed to charm you into a bromance. I’ll leave you two to drink beer and talk about sports or whatever the hell it is you guys do.” Zendaya teased before sticking her tongue out at him just to annoy him.
“I think he’s an idiot too, but I think you’re just saying that because he treated me like garbage for four years when we were together. Tons of people are named Trevor, I’d even go as far to say that you probably know someone named Trevor. Also, if we ever have a horrible falling out, please don’t write a rap song about me or I’ll come punch you, not dealing with that again.” Zendaya rolled her eyes at the thought, quickly reminding herself that she was with Zac and that was something to be thankful for so her usual joyful mood quickly returned. She had to keep herself from screaming or jumping up and down or giggling from excitement, or anything like that, but on the inside she was doing all of those things. She never in a million years would have guessed that Zac Efron of all people would ever have romantic feelings towards her. From the first time they went up on the trapeze together, Zendaya knew she liked Zac as more than just a friend. The small bit of time where they drifted apart, Zendaya absolutely hated it. Especially when people started shipping her and Tom Holland nonstop just because they played love interests. Sometimes she even caught herself looking at cute fan pages of Zacdaya as the fans called it. “No no, trust me, a stupid hookup with Tessa couldn’t possibly make my feelings change. I’ve had a couple dumb one night stands before too, so I’m not really in a place to judge. But yeah, she and I are really close and I teased her about hooking up with you but then she said it was just a drunk mishap and then proceeded to give me her blessing.” Zendaya giggled, she really didn’t mind that the two of them had hooked up, especially because it was just for pleasure and there weren’t any feelings involved. “Are you asking if you should ask me to be your girlfriend? Because the answer is yes. Or are you asking me to be your girlfriend? Because then the answer is still yes.” She said, a wide grin stuck on her lips as she glanced down to their hands, waiting anxiously for Zac’s reaction. Zendaya was already planning captions and Instagram photos and cute dates they could go on in her head, maybe a little too excited about the whole thing.
“I guess that brings the question as to why we’re always tired in the morning but wide awake at night, when rehearsals start I may just be the same where I want to sleep all day” Zac explained letting a soft laugh fall from his lips. It was all going to changed as soon as rehearsals started but Zac could easily say he had a morning routine since he had his knee injury. “I will only accept being called old when I am 40 or past... Until then okay yes 8 years to go but hush. Oh god don’t start putting the fact that people our age are having children, yes you just dig yourself a grave but you pushed all the dirt away to dig me an even bigger one” he said letting a laugh fall from his lips. With the subject of marriage and kids Zac did have to think about this for a second, of course he was never against it watching a set of his good friends expect a baby and another due to be married... Of course it did cross his mind. If only he just met the right person. It was probably dumb of him to think of such thing when he didn’t even have someone to share that life with... Yet. “Michael I see that guy to have every girl and guy’s heart on their sleeves for him, I thought that would be me at first. But I am nothing like that, which is why I think there is an inner bromance forming between us. A beer and talking about sports is surprisingly exactly what we do, but I wouldn’t mind you joining us on the beer part” he said playfully rolling his eyes as he saw her tongue.
“No way, I am saying that because I care all too much about you and someone like you never deserves to be treated like garbage. I- no I would never write a rap song about you. I can write songs for shit” he said letting a soft laugh fall from his lips. Course he already hated the guy just by her words which in every ounce of him believed, and wanted to do the opposite of what had been done to her. Zac could instantly replay in his mind why he really did like this woman as she jumped excitedly in front of him. She really was something quite perfect. Could it be cheesy to say he had feelings for her since they first met, kind of love at first sight type thing and on the trapeze together... Holding each other. He would never deny there was an instant attraction, wanting her to be in a massive part of his life wishing them filming together lasted much longer. But he had never admitted his feelings earlier only because there were rumors of her and Tom dating, it would’ve been hard for him to accept her with another. Yet every now and then he would find himself replaying the way they danced or sung together back on the set. And he always smiled at that thought, even if he thought it was cheesy for a good couple of seconds. “You have no idea how worried I was that, that stupid gossip post was going to break my chances with you. It was some dumb hookup, and yes she’s awesome but it’s always been you. And yes it did worry me when you and her were close but at the same time I was happy you had her especially when she gives you her blessing” he said letting out a chuckle. He really was beyond thankful, and as long as she knew it was just a hookup then he could proceed his life with her. “I might’ve been asking you, in the most dorky way ever but the fact that you said yes has made all my dreams come true” he said smiling wide. Giving her hands a squeeze before running one of his hands to her neck he looked over at her eyes “...now this is the part where I am actually going to ask if I can kiss you.”
