I have been shipping Tomstar since season 1 and literally never thought it’s actually happening. It’s so unexpected that I couldn’t believe it. I would say it’s a miracle for me.
It might sound weird that now Tomstar is likely to be canon and I’m very happy but also hate it too. No, not them. I hate the writers. I feel like they make Tomstar happened just because they want to prolong Starco to happen slower.
Btw I really like that Tom and Star has some character development. Tom has been trying to get rid of his anger issue since season 1 and trying to be a better person, also move on and let Star go. Not to mention that when he thought Star was going out with Marco, he wasn’t mad at all. He was even happy for her and support her, gave her some spaces. And Star now also supports him, not blaming him or something like that. Now they are really supporting each other and growing up. They are a great couple (if they are really dating like Star said or hinted)
But just after Tom could move on and let her go, Star came back and now they are dating. Am I happy? Yes, but I also don’t like it.
I’m sure many people are already aware of Starco being endgame since the entire show clearly has been focusing on them, which means Tomstar is not gonna last, just like Jarco. So Star and Tom are going to break up AGAIN. Tom will get hurt AGAIN. I feel very bad for him. I just want Tom to be happy. I don’t want writers to use him as a tool just to prolong the show or make some drama. I also feel bad for Jackie. She’s an amazing character and deserves better than being a tool to make things more complicated. I hope she will still be in the show.
Back to Tom, I think he deserves more sympathy and happiness. Because he is a demon who is trying very hard to be good. Furthermore, he grows and lives in Underworld, which doesn’t sound like a pleasant place that would be full of nice people or beautiful/cute stuff. I’m sure it’s full of flames, lava, screaming, violence, etc.
And I think it’s because of such bad surroundings like that, combining he’s a demon, it makes him ‘doesn’t know how to be nice’ (he said himself in Club Snubbed episode) Still, Tom is REALLY trying to be better. That’s why Tom is my favorite character and I support him. He is also hot.
Anyway, these are just my personal opinion. For me, any ship is fine but please let my demon boy be happy（πーπ）
