Zombie Stage Round 1 - Sua's Autopsy
(If you haven't yet, go check out the one I did on Mizi)
Alright! Here comes the angel in the white dress! Sua!!! Yay yippie!!!
While Mizi's infection is contained to mainly one area Sua's is much more spread out. Her right thigh has entirely rotted away, leaving her bone exposed. However the crystal rot has already started to grow there and will eventually replace the missing flesh. At first I thought maybe Sua had lost her thigh in a different round but since the bone is still there I'm unsure if that's the case.
Makes me wonder if the handlers purposely carve hearts into them to make the crystals grow there in order to make the zombie-ness more palatable in a twisted sense?
The infection on her upper body is a mirror to Mizi's, beginning under her left breast, travelling up her shoulder and upper arm, then covering most of the left side of her face.
Unlike Mizi though, Sua still has one of her eyes. I believe her missing eye is there to symbolise Sua turning a blind eye to Mizi's more unsavoury traits (i.e her violent outbursts, killing small animals as a child) in favor of romanticising the favorable ones.
Her remaining eye is there to show that she isn't fully gone like Mizi is. She isn't mindlessly performing like her, though she probably isn't that far off from where Mizi is at.
It's a blink and you miss it moment but at some point in the performance she struggles to keep her eye on the crowd, her gaze flickering in Mizi's direction.
She looks almost...bored? Like she doesn't find any value in the crowd or stage. She even closes her eyes when she waves to the crowd in the beginning. She couldn't care less about anything that isn't Mizi (maybe she isn't even capable of it, her mind only having the capacity to think of Mizi)
Which makes sense. Even when she was still human, being an idol was never really what she cared about. She simply wanted to watch Mizi sparkle at the closest possible spot, closer than anyone else could.
She didn't get her spot the first time around but she has it now and that is all that matters to her. Singing and dancing with her object of worship, her goddess, her universe.
