I guess the reason I wasn’t so affected by Rengoku’s death when I first read the series was because I didn’t know how much of an impact it would have on Tanjiro and his story.
Reading it again has thrown me for a loop and I’m near tears reading it. It’s tragically heartbreaking.
Tanjiro only knew Rengoku Kyojuro for a single night and his death still has a large impact on his character in the story.
