Old/New Surrender

I believe -

The heart and the mind were never meant to communicate.

Our sentience and ability to love is our forbidden fruit. Perhaps in the story of Adam and Eve it wasn’t until they bit into the fruit and spurred their awareness of their exposure did jealousy,

hurt,

compassion,

and desire take form.

We live in a time where modes of though regarding

the body,

sanctity of intimacy,

and love,

are Deconstructed -

- perhaps even Disregarded.

But how can I deconstruct my feelings when I know not what is social and what is biological?

I haven’t been in love in years. I feel myself going there again. Along this path come old and new

fears,

pains,

and anxieties.

In my abstination from love I’ve shielded my heart but also isolated it. Do I give into the violent throes of compassion? Do I let go of my old ways? How do I grow into this new glove that has places for fingers I do not posses, and missing places for my thumb and pinky?

I do not know these answers and can only learn these lessons with another.

Fear.

Uncertainty.

Panic.

Outrage.

Apology.

Demands.

Shrewd?

Surrender.
