RyePRIDE is an Equity Service Group of the Ryerson Students' Union (RSU). It represents the Queer and Trans voices of Ryerson University. RyePRIDE is committed to fighting homophobia, transphobia and heterosexism, both on and off campus. We seek to create a positive and inclusive campus that provides safe space for people of all sexual orientations and gender identities. theres a blog (dirtywhiteboi67.blogspot.com) that frequently links to and reposts pictures of trans men from fuckyeahftms, effectively outing them, in the name of showing how “testosterone is poison to the female body,” and “transgenderism was made to fix homosexuality and is a lesbian epidemic”

this blog also gets photos of trans men from other sites like instagram, some who explicitly mention they’re living stealth

the blog mostly features young trans men, including many who are minors, and typically writes a few paragraphs misgendering them and condemning “transgenderism”

if you’re a trans man, i would be extremely cautious posting any pictures of yourself online right now if you’re concerned about being outed

Real Live Trans Adults

After Leelsh Alcorn’s suicide, Oakland-based comedian Red Durkin started the hashtag #RealLiveTransAdult (top image above) to show transgender people afraid of coming out that there is hope and an abundance of possibilities.

Hundreds went online to share their stories (above). This is no longer news, but these tweets are so powerful and the message so important, I’ll share them anyway.

I haven’t seen a lot of posts that shed some positivity for non-binary Muslims who wear the hijab – I personally sometimes feel it’s frustrating that people see hijabi non-binary people as “female” just because the hijab is an obligation for women. My hijab does not define my gender; only my obligation to my God and my religion! 

Shoutout to all non-binary hijabi Muslims out there; you are valid and Allah loves you, insya-Allah!
