So sorry if you've answered this before! But do you intend to ever translate the intermission parts of the Blazing Jewel concert? Where the characters are talking to each other? :O

Here is the first section, based on the first intermission of the Blazing Jewel concert currently available on Disney+JP, featuring Jade, Floyd, Trey, Cater, Ruggie, Jack, Silver, Sebek and Lilia! (Pt II is here ▶︎)

🔸：Hang on a second, did you see that performance just now!? Idia and Ortho were so cool, Cay-kun was surprised.

♣️：Yeah, I didn’t expect those two to go that far. Idia usually hates being in front of people, and Ortho said before that singing with emotion is hard, so I didn’t think they would give such an amazing performance. They must have worked really hard.

🐬：I see. So, Trey-san, you are saying you had assumed that the Ignihyde performance would be so terrible that it wouldn't be worth watching. Is that correct?

♣️：That's not what I said!

🍩：Everyone, did you hear that just now!? Making fun of someone when we’re supposed to be having a fun live concert is awful, right!? I’m not like that. If we have the best rivals, we can perform our best.

Everyone else: Huh?

🐺：W-what’s going on, Ruggie-senpai? You seem like a different person than usual.

🍩：Shh. Quiet. Leona-san told me, “Go work the audience and raise their support of Savanaclaw.”

🍩：But I honestly understand that having a strict Housewarden is hard. In our dorm Leona-san gave impossible demands too, it was hard going. We were exhausted after hours of intense dance practice, and still he'd mock us with, “Are you really trying?” We can't win against Leona-san’s stamina.

🐺：Yes! It was so unusual for Leona-senpai—really, really unusual—for him to actually get serious, and I was so happy! I’m glad I was able to receive serious guidance from him. I might have never seen Leona-senpai move that much before.

🐺：No. This kind of opportunity may never come again. Since March we’ve been practicing between classes and club activities. Today, we’ll astonish this audience.

Aesthetically, I really like that nice navy one over there, with the white threading?” He decided to walk over to it and show it to the other. It wasn’t too complicated in terms of design, but there were swirling, almost breeze-like white patterns on the sleeves that started at the cuff and went up the forearm to the elbow. It almost seemed like snowflakes on the wind. He then went up to the coats where Sebastian was closest to. He smiled as he looked at the one Sebastian was keeping his eye on as well as the one next to it that was basically the same but with white threading instead of red. He took one of the cuffs of the red threaded black coat and felt the material. “If we were talking about you, I would’ve guessed these two maybe. I’ve only seen you wear black to be honest, but you give off a… Fancy? Type vibe? So I figured maybe one of these would be something you like.” He looked to the other with a bright and hopeful smile, blue eyes shining under the light in the stall. He was aware he didn’t know Sebastian all that well to begin with, but over the last year that they’ve known each other, he has picked up on a few things the demon liked and disliked. He knew that there was a big chance his friend would’ve rejected his recommendations, but he didn’t mind the possibility all that much. He was just happy to help Sebastian find something warm and comfortable to wear.

Sebastian wasn't surprised at all by Jack's choice for himself. The navy did complement the other's overall theme and the snowy embroidery was fitting if not a little on the nose. "If it weren't too warm for you, it would be nice." He agreed, raising an eyebrow as the winter spirit came closer.

"You're not wrong. They're both beautiful..." He did make an honest consideration of both before ultimately picking out a white threaded coat in his size. "The red thread may be redundant considering my eye color." In truth, he really wasn't sure why he felt the need to defend his choice, but with the coat purchased, he slipped it on and carefully folded the blanket over his arm as he headed back out. It would be best to return the blanket with the same subtly used in...borrowing it, but he needed to find the stall first.

Sebastian shrugged and nodded to a path down the road. "I wouldn't protest to a leisurely stroll."

He turned on his heel and tucked his hands into his new coat, walking without much of a destination other than away from the milling people in the market. Thankfully with the outdoor event going on over where, the park not far was more or less empty. "This will have to do unless you have somewhere else in mind?."

Jack followed close behind and smiled as they walked along the path. He kept looking around to see what was nearby, not surprised by the change of scenery from buildings to trees. He looked up once Sebastian spoke and nodded. "This is totally fine. Oh, there's a bench over down that way. Wanna sit? I'll get the snow off of it so your new coat doesn't get soggy or something."

"So it was. Forgive me for doubting you." Sebastian greeted, tilting his head a bit at the snow spirit. "Well...I admit, I'm not sure where to go from here."

Friends...weren't his forte. Entertaining those who weren't simple humans he was meant to be manipulating was even less so. Being so far out of his element did make him shift his weight a bit from leg to leg and he avoided looking directly at Jack. If he were being honest, even if Jack weren't there, he wasn't entirely sure what he'd be doing to entertain himself. Probably anything that wouldn't prevent him from maintaining a low profile.

"Apology accepted," he teased back. He looked around the stalls and the street they're on with a small shrug. He remembered the other wasn't up for any snacks of any kind, so he knew that was off the list of options. Sebastian was dressed for the weather now, so outdoor activities were possible. But it was also late at night, so it couldn't be something that extreme either. He turned to his demonic friend with a small smile and spoke. "Ya know, we could just go for a walk. And talk. Get to know each other a little more now that we're officially friends. And it can be away from here so nobody has to worry about you talking to yourself so much." He winked at that.

Sebastian shook his head a little in amusement, "I suppose that's true as well."

He almost protested and tried to take the blanket back, but he couldn't quite form an argument against this. The only thing better than being inhumanely fast when trying to pull something like this off was being invisible and Jack certainly had that advantage...well, at least when it came to the adults. He did notice a child or two would light up brightly and try to point at the flying spirit to their parents who naturally shrugged them off or humored them under the assumption their child had a new imaginary friend.

"I suppose I'll wait near here then," he consented, dipping his head and meandering off towards a more open space to wait for Jack to return.

Any time a child saw him but was with a parent, Jack knew he had to be discreet while acknowledging them. As much as he would like to convince everyone on the planet he exists, he knew deep down that it wasn't possible. Besides, it would've been too much work and no fun trying to prove it. So whenever he spotted a believer, he'd just throw a wink their way or a snowflake on their nose. He figured a wink and wave to the kids would've been enough for today.

As he got to the stall of the blankets, he quickly and discreetly squeezed himself through a small crowd of people. Once he saw an opportunity of the vendor looking away, he plopped the folded blanket on top of the others and quickly flew away and back to Sebastian. He floated down behind him and tapped his shoulder. "Told ya it'd be quick," he said with a grin.

He blinked a little at Sebastian's comment and couldn't help but smile a bit. "O-Oh... You think so? Uh... Thanks." He couldn't help but wonder if this is the first compliment his demonic friend has given him without being sarcastic.

His small smile widened when he heard which coat the other chose, shrugging nonchalantly with another nod. "I was gonna say it would bring out your eyes since it's an accent color, but hey, it's gonna be you wearing it. I can't tell you what to do." Admittedly, he couldn't help but be proud of himself for this.

He came up to him and took the blanket from Sebastian's arm. "Don't worry, I'll get this back to where it belongs. I know where it's supposed to be. Won't be long." Without another word, he flew off towards the other end of the street.

Jack closed the door behind them both and waited to see what Sebastian would say. He did agree that they should both be on some sort of equal ground when it comes to internal temperatures, so he nodded and gestured to the street. “Fair enough. After you.”

Jack followed him into the streets towards the market, resting his staff on his shoulder as they walked. He figured that once his demonic friend had found something warm to wear for the weather, he could return the blanket he originally… “borrowed”. He still wanted to return it, but he just didn’t know when he’d be able to do that, so he figured at that point, he would be able to do so.

As the other spoke, he couldn’t help but look the demon up and down to really take in his outfit. He did admit, Sebastian’s clothes were in fact a bit dated, but it was nothing necessarily out of the ordinary to wear during this time period.

“Yeah… I mean, the twin tails you got on there definitely say 19th century butler,” he said as he gestured to his friend’s coattails. “Not that I’m any better with these pants, but they’re still comfy after all this time, so we move on.”

Jack decided to take the lead for a second as he floated up and around a few stalls to see what kind of clothes were being sold. He eventually stopped at one that was selling some modern button-up coats that were quite thick and good quality, but wasn’t too far off of what Sebastian would wear. ‘Maybe these,’ he thought. ‘There’s more stuff around, but this isn’t too bad. And the price… Hm. Could be better, but I feel like it’s worth it. Now it all depends on his budget.’

He flew back to where Sebastian was and made a motion with his hand. “I think I found something. Follow me.” He turned back around and slowly flew through the air again, going slow enough for the other to keep an eye on him and keep going. He floated back down next to the stall he found and waited for Sebastian.

“I could say the same about my coat. It’s comfortable…” Familiar was probably the better word for it. Certainly he could have taken most any form he so desired if he truly wanted to, but… this one was nostalgic. He liked it the best.

The demon watched the other float up and fly off, not really questioning him too much as he perused a stall or two himself, not quite finding anything that caught his eye or fit what he was looking for. When Jack returned, he simply nodded and followed along behind him. He looked the shop up and down when Jack stopped, already silently in approval of what he saw.

‘This looks promising…’ He thought to himself, tilting his head a bit at Jack. “Anything in particular catch your eye, Frost?” Sebastian stepped into the stall and started looking through the coats, letting his hand brush against a couple to test the material. They were thicker than his tailcoat for sure and he did appreciate the style itself. As he browsed, he did end up lingering by a black wool coat, admiring the red thread used to stitch on the buttons.

He looked to the other confused. “Hm? What do you mean?” He didn’t understand why the other questioned him this. “I mean… Nothing does? I was just offering because I wanted to, so you can absolutely say no, which you just did. That’s no biggie.” He shrugged with a smile. Jack of course didn’t see anything wrong with offering something to a friend, so he wasn’t necessarily clear as to why Sebastian asked, so he just decided to shrug it off and not worry about it.

Sebastian stared at him a moment, trying to make this make sense in his own mind though so long as the other wasn’t going to purchase him something he didn’t want or need, he supposed it was fine. “Well, in that case…alright.”

He rubbed his shoulders a bit, sighing softly as he realized he finally felt normal again. He knew Jack wasn’t particularly fond of warmth just as he himself wasn’t fond of the cold, so he only sat by the fire just a moment longer before standing up and nodding to the door. It wouldn’t be very friendly of him to make his new friend uncomfortable for his sake. “We shouldn’t loiter if we aren’t going to purchase anything. Let’s go elsewhere.”

He nodded at the demon before making his way to the door, stopping before he could even begin to open it. He just thought of something. He turned to Sebastian with a tilt of his head, looking to him curiously. “If we’re not staying here, then where should we even go? It definitely can’t be outside unless you can get yourself some warmer clothes. The market’s still going out there in the street, and I don’t think they’ll close for another few hours in case you do wanna be outside. In terms of indoor places? I don’t even know myself. I’ve never had to go in anywhere, so I’ve never really paid attention to stuff like that, but I can assume they close around 9PM or 10. Right now, from looking at the clock in here, it’s 8. So, what do you propose we do, Michaelis?”

Sebastian glanced to him but didn’t hesitate to open the door and step back outside, pausing instead under the awning and looking across the street back towards the market.

“Well, truthfully, I’d like to go somewhere we can both be at least equally uncomfortable in regards to temperature if not both of us being cozy.” He brought his hand to his chin in thought and tilted his head. “Hm.m…I have some money. I could get something to stay warm in so we have more leeway. Why don’t we start there?”

He waited for the other’s approval before heading across the street towards the market though he was mindful to steer clear of the stall Jack stole his blanket from. It seemed generic enough and there were several others roaming about with a similar item, but he didn’t want to raise any suspicions or get into any altercations if he could avoid them.

“It’s been awhile since I’ve shopped for myself… I fear my tastes may be a bit, well, dated. What do you recommend?” He asked the snow spirit, admittedly curious what Jack’s opinions on fashion were considering the white haired guarded wore little more than a hoodie and torn up pants held together by leather straps.

Jack closed the door behind them both and waited to see what Sebastian would say. He did agree that they should both be on some sort of equal ground when it comes to internal temperatures, so he nodded and gestured to the street. "Fair enough. After you."

Jack followed him into the streets towards the market, resting his staff on his shoulder as they walked. He figured that once his demonic friend had found something warm to wear for the weather, he could return the blanket he originally... "borrowed". He still wanted to return it, but he just didn't know when he'd be able to do that, so he figured at that point, he would be able to do so.

As the other spoke, he couldn't help but look the demon up and down to really take in his outfit. He did admit, Sebastian's clothes were in fact a bit dated, but it was nothing necessarily out of the ordinary to wear during this time period.

"Yeah... I mean, the twin tails you got on there definitely say 19th century butler," he said as he gestured to his friend's coattails. "Not that I'm any better with these pants, but they're still comfy after all this time, so we move on."

Jack decided to take the lead for a second as he floated up and around a few stalls to see what kind of clothes were being sold. He eventually stopped at one that was selling some modern button-up coats that were quite thick and good quality, but wasn't too far off of what Sebastian would wear. 'Maybe these,' he thought. 'There's more stuff around, but this isn't too bad. And the price... Hm. Could be better, but I feel like it's worth it. Now it all depends on his budget.'

He flew back to where Sebastian was and made a motion with his hand. "I think I found something. Follow me." He turned back around and slowly flew through the air again, going slow enough for the other to keep an eye on him and keep going. He floated back down next to the stall he found and waited for Sebastian.

I was just offering because I wanted to, so you can absolutely say no, which you just did. That’s no biggie.” He shrugged with a smile. Jack of course didn’t see anything wrong with offering something to a friend, so he wasn’t necessarily clear as to why Sebastian asked, so he just decided to shrug it off and not worry about it.

Sebastian stared at him a moment, trying to make this make sense in his own mind though so long as the other wasn’t going to purchase him something he didn’t want or need, he supposed it was fine. “Well, in that case…alright.”

As Sebastian made his joke, he made it seem like he was going to take his hand back, but then he grinned and shook his hand anyway. “Ah, I know you’re not THE devil. But I’ll definitely consider my options if the time comes.”

As he took his hand back, he hummed in thought. “Well… I guess my first act of official friendship can be to get you a cup of coffee or tea while you warm up. Or a pastry too, which might be easier to get, really… But I’ll still leave that choice to you. Would you like anything?” He looked to Sebastian with hope glimmering hope in his eyes, honestly a little excited because he just made a new official friend.

You’re not wrong… that would be my father. Sebastian mentally added, but for along as he was still breathing, that would be a topic of conversation for absolutely never.

“Wait, what about being official friends means you now have to start doing things like that?” He was sure he had missed something somewhere. Perhaps he should have had the other outline a contract for this. Was Jack going to expect him to purchase things for him as well? He was fairly certain from observing countless human friendships that such things weren’t required. At least not that he was aware. Were friendships with other immortals different? What other acts were going to be expected? “I’m perfectly capable of purchasing my own refreshments if I want them, but that really won’t be necessary. I’m not thirsty or hungry for those kinds of things at the moment. You don’t have to get me anything.”

Admittedly, he completely forgot about the snow and wind outside now that he was in the nice, warm café with Sebastian. Maybe a little too warm for his taste, but then again, he is sitting right in front of the fireplace. “Okay, you’re right about that one, I’m sorry. But you know that you could probably burn me to a crisp if you really wanted to, or in this case, had the strength to. Besides, it’s not like I wanted to do it on purpose in order to hurt others…”

The more he thought about it, the more he realized that it probably was a good idea to become friends with the demon after all. Besides getting to know him, he would have another supernatural friend on his roster. He had more human friends, children mind you, than anything else which he of course didn’t mind at all, but it was always nice to have someone like his Guardian friends around whenever possible. Albeit, this new friend came with a few more rough and ragged edges than he’s used to, but it didn’t bother him in the slightest.

He laughed brightly at his words but nodded all the same. “Haha, I’ll try not to, but it’s not my fault I didn’t know you were here. Otherwise, I probably would’ve toned it down a notch, especially if I knew you didn’t have something to eat already.” After this, he gave him his hand as he smiled to him. “How about we shake on it? We can officially be friends from now on.”

“All I was pointing out is that you’re not as harmless or powerless as you’d like to think.” He dismissed with a shake of his head.

Sebastian looked over at that hand, raising an eyebrow at him and contemplating the offer a little. One on hand, he…had no friends. Not in the sense that Jack was referring to. Certainly, there were demons that he tolerated, but many of his kind were completely solitary. He didn’t even speak with or interact with his own father or sibling for that matter. A friend? Perhaps…it wouldn’t be too bad to try. At least this one wouldn’t actively try to stab him on sight or try to steal his meals.

“Careful making deals with the devil, Jack.” He cautioned playfully though he did reach across and shake the other’s hand. “I suppose being friends couldn’t hurt though.”

“See?” He said. As he listened to his demonic friend, he could now understand why he’s always been so wary of him. He did giggle at being called naive though, because admittedly, he kind of is. He’s usually the type of person to take things at face value.

He shrugged at the end. “Well… I guess I can’t really blame you. If you’ve always been used to people treating you negatively for so long, I can see why you’d expect everyone else to keep doing the same… But… At the same time, I feel like that’s really sad, to just keep expecting that all the time. You can never really make a connection with anyone, and you could feel alone. I know what that’s like, I’ve been invisible for three centuries…” He turned to him with a small and hopeful smile, his head at a curious tilt. “Ya know, we could keep each other company whenever we run into each other. Couldn’t we? What could be so bad of trying for a new friend? And one that you said is ‘naive’ too. I’m a Guardian of Childhood with ice powers, there’s not much I can negatively do to you.”

Sebastian’s eyes narrowed slightly as he thought about this though he wasn’t angry or upset by any means. There was simply a lot to consider with this proposal. “Jack, you say that like I wasn’t just freezing outside in the snow all of 30 minutes ago.” He sighed, almost rolling his eyes at him. Still…even if he didn’t want to admit to himself, he actually did sort of look forward to potentially running into the other lately and this most recent encounter was such an inviting change of pace from his usual wanderings in-between meals.

“I suppose we could, though perhaps next time don’t greet me with a blizzard when I don’t have a job to keep myself warm with.” Sebastian doubted anyone was listening, but he still didn’t want to draw any unnecessary attention by blatantly calling himself a demon who needed a strong contract to draw enough of his power to the mortal plane to keep warm in something as silly as a blizzard. Really, it was quite demeaning now that he thought more about it.

Jack turned to him quite bewildered at the assumption that he wanted to kill him and his kind. He couldn’t help but roll his eyes at him and look to the fire with a pout and furrowed brow. “Is it really so bad I wanna know stuff about you because you’re around a lot in my life? I just wanna learn more because… well, I respect you, and I want to keep respecting you if you’re gonna keep popping up. And also, why do you think I wanna ‘eradicate’ you? I know we got off on the wrong foot the first night, but I haven’t attacked you since then because we talked… I left you alone for some weeks scattered throughout the past few months, haven’t I?”

Jack nodded a bit to himself when it was confirmed what kind of creatures the Shinigami are, but then he couldn’t help but snicker and laugh a little to himself at Sebastian’s questions. “T-Trust me, I’ve tried everything to make myself known for a good 300 years before I became a guardian. Unfortunately, nothing worked. But now that I am a guardian, the only real thing I can do is grab a blanket and wrap it around me and make a hood with it too. But… I don’t see a big piece of fabric here that can do that…”

He paused as a thought came up. “Wait. We’re in the 21st century. Don’t you have a cellphone or something like that? You can pretend you’re on the phone with someone while you’re talking to me. Nobody would even notice.”

Sebastian blamed the cold meddling with his brain for having not thought of that earlier. As subtly as he could, he did place his earbuds in and tucked a lock of hair back so it was visible. “I suppose you’re right about that.”

He sighed softly and folded his arms, drawing the blanket around himself a little tighter. “Can you really blame me for being suspicious of you and your intentions? It’s not as though I have many ‘friends’ or other beings lining up to get to know me without ulterior motives. Then again… you are fairly…naive.” The demon stared into the fire, briefly wondering what it would be like to not have his guard him with every being he ran into that found out what he was. It sounded…kind of nice.

And it’s not that I think you contract people like that, I just don’t know what kinds of people you hunt for. I have somewhat of an idea now at least. We’ve known each other for less than a year, I don’t know your eating preferences or hunting abilities. I just… I know almost nothing about you. I have nothing to really base you off of. Any information I’ve been given about demons are you and North. You’re the first and only demon I’ve ever met, so I’m sorry that I don’t understand right away, I’m trying.”

Eventually, they get to the café that Jack was talking about. Jack opened the door and helped the other get inside, leading the other to the fireplace and helping him sit down in a chair in front of it. “There…” As he listened to the rest of what Sebastian had to say, he looked to him curiously and tried to understand what he had to say, taking a seat next to him.

“ S-So… Teenagers are the youngest any demon would try to hunt for? I see… I didn’t know that… It does make sense though, from what I’ve seen. Any kid you contracted was a teenager every time.” He was actually a bit relieved to hear that that was the case. “I forget that your kind are always in a tussle with someone else. You’ve only talked about Shinigami and Angels briefly… Shinigami are… Grim Reapers, right?” As little as he does know about other supernatural beings, he tries his best to remember everything he can about them.

Sebastian frowned a little at the white haired guardian, “Why do you want to know anything about me or demons anyway? If you’re going to try eradicating us, just ask the angels. They’ve already made numerous attempts.”

The warmth of the fire provided immediate relief from the cold aches still lingering in his joints and he sank down gratefully into the seat he was guided towards with the quietest sigh of relief. He closed his eyes a moment, letting himself regain feeling in his toes and fingers again before addressing Jack once more. “Shinigami are grim reapers, yes.” He confirmed, glancing around to make sure no one was paying too much attention to their conversation. “You know even though many can’t see or hear you, they can still see and hear me, right? Don’t you have a disguise or some way of letting others see you so I don’t look like I’m talking to an empty chair?”

Even through all of Sebastian’s stubbornness, he chose to ignore it. He knew deep down that his demonic friend appreciated it in some way, but he didn’t want to rub it in his face to make matters worse, so he chose to keep quiet until the other wanted to talk again.

He turned to him and tilted his head in curiosity at the question. “What? Whaddya mean?” He figured the other was asking him a rhetorical question, but he didn’t understand why, at least not until he was given the explanation, to which he immediately looked down to the pavement in slight embarrassment. He figured he’d be honest with him at the very least, especially since Sebastian had a point. He did show up at very interesting times…

“W-Well…” He sighed softly to himself. “Yes and no. In the beginning, after you were let go, and by the way his name is North,” he huffed out a little, “he did ask me to keep an eye on you. I mean come on, you said it yourself, we protect children, that’s our one job. He just wanted me to make sure that if there was a chance there was a kid we could still save, that I’d take it. Although… Admittedly, the chance to do that didn’t come up as often as I would’ve liked… You told me when we first met that some children just… don’t have that innocence anymore, and that’s why they would summon you and others of your kind. And you were right a lot of the time with some of the younger contracts you had. North told me that you would eventually show me something that I would eventually have to understand… Guess he was right.”

As they made their way down to the café, he quickly… well, “borrowed” would be the best term for now, a thick shawl from one of the stands in the market, wrapping it around Sebastian’s shoulder without a second thought. ‘Hope this helps…’ With that, they continued on their way, his face a little solemn as he spoke. “Several months ago, you had a kid that really… really wanted revenge on someone. I overheard him talking to you about all the things he wanted you to do. And normally, kids his age would be saying things like, ‘I wanna take their favorite pencil so they’re sad’, or 'I don’t wanna play with them anymore because they always wins at games.’ Ya know, kid stuff. Innocent kid stuff… That kid you had? He…” He furrowed his brow as he tried to find the best words he could use. “He wasn’t innocent anymore. Whatever happened to him in his life must’ve been so traumatic that he wanted you to-…” He paused again. “…He wanted you to kill someone… And that was when I realized that no matter how hard I tried, I can’t save every kid I see… After that, I stopped following you. Everything from them until now? All that’s a coincidence…”

“I’ll call him by his name when he stops calling me a little birdie.” He huffed, teeth chattering a little as they walked along. Demons didn’t feel tired or need sleep, but he was starting to wish he’d stayed where he was or that their destination was close.

He raised an eyebrow at the other as he explained, confused how he could possibly have ‘shown’ the other anything. Perhaps were he in better spirits, he’d have teased the other for his lapse in morals, but the last thing he was going to do was risk losing the shawl and the immediate protection it gave from the cold temperatures and most importantly the wind that felt as though it were blowing straight through his bones. “Were you really that naive?” Sebastian’s question was honest and for once not laced with annoyance or a taunt. “You truly thought that I would answer the call of anyone with resolve so fragile that you could save them? Sure, one or two slipped through my fingers, but I do have better taste than that when I’ve got the patience to properly hunt.”

He let out a soft sigh and used his free hand to pull the shall tighter around himself, “Jack, as I told you and all the other Guardians, we have to eat too. Besides, we’ve got enough problems dealing with Shinigami and Angels to add your lot to the mix. Why do you think the youngest the smart ones prey on are teenagers? Besides, even if they weren’t being protected by your group and the angels, kids are the only beings who are truly, innocently pure. Any demon foolish enough to try would perish.”

Sebastian wished he knew why he was explaining or trying to reassure the other. For now, he was simply going to blame it on the cold.

When he saw those fangs, he admittedly did take a step back to give the other space, holding up his hands in slight surrender. “Oookay. Don’t say I didn’t try to warn ya.” If he learned anything within these past few months, it’s that bared teeth means back off. So he did. Although… Recently, that action had reminded him of black cats who decide to tread with caution and hiss at anything or anyone they don’t seem safe. Strange… He didn’t know why really.

Once he saw the other trip, he was about to grab his arm and pull him back. Luckily, the other saved himself which made him feel relieved. At the same time though, he rolled his eyes and smirked, finding the demon’s stubbornness annoying yet hilarious. “Yeah, no, you’re not. Come on, just hang onto me, you big doofus. It’s not that far of a walk, I promise.”

He slid under Sebastian’s arm and made it rest on his shoulder, holding it in place with one hand, while he wrapped his other arm around the other’s waist. “Let’s go.” He led Sebastian out of the alleyway and made their way down the street.

For all his grumbles, protests and outright glares at Jack as the other supported him, Sebastian was grateful…just also incredibly prideful. He didn’t make an attempt to push off him or get away, not wanting to risk truly falling and making matters worse than they already felt.

“How do you always show up for these situations? Aren’t you supposed to be a guardian of children not demons?” He couldn’t help noticing they kept meeting up like this. Since their first meeting where the snow haired spirit not only got in the way of his dinner, but kidnapped him, they kept running into each other either shortly after Sebastian failed to seal a contract, successful got something to eat or like now, some chance encounter that forced interaction. “We’re running into each other far too often for it to be a coincidence. What? Kris Kringle got you tailing me to make sure I’m behaving myself?”

"W-Well..." He sighed softly to himself. "Yes and no. In the beginning, after you were let go, and by the way his name is North," he huffed out a little, "he did ask me to keep an eye on you. I mean come on, you said it yourself, we protect children, that's our one job. He just wanted me to make sure that if there was a chance there was a kid we could still save, that I'd take it. Although... Admittedly, the chance to do that didn't come up as often as I would've liked... You told me when we first met that some children just... don't have that innocence anymore, and that's why they would summon you and others of your kind. And you were right a lot of the time with some of the younger contracts you had. North told me that you would eventually show me something that I would eventually have to understand... Guess he was right."

As they made their way down to the café, he quickly... well, "borrowed" would be the best term for now, a thick shawl from one of the stands in the market, wrapping it around Sebastian's shoulder without a second thought. 'Hope this helps...' With that, they continued on their way, his face a little solemn as he spoke. "Several months ago, you had a kid that really... really wanted revenge on someone. I overheard him talking to you about all the things he wanted you to do. And normally, kids his age would be saying things like, 'I wanna take their favorite pencil so they're sad', or 'I don't wanna play with them anymore because they always wins at games.' Ya know, kid stuff. Innocent kid stuff... That kid you had? He..." He furrowed his brow as he tried to find the best words he could use. "He wasn't innocent anymore. Whatever happened to him in his life must've been so traumatic that he wanted you to-..." He paused again. "...He wanted you to kill someone... And that was when I realized that no matter how hard I tried, I can't save every kid I see... After that, I stopped following you. Everything from them until now? All that's a coincidence..."

Jack couldn’t help but laugh again as he helped him stand. “Well, I’m just happy you still have a sense of humor. That means your brain hasn’t fully frozen all the way, thank MiM.”

He noticed the demon was stumbling a little, and fairly so since he must’ve been outside curled up like that for so long, so he decided to ask him something, admittedly with a bit of hesitance. “Umm… S-Sebastian? Would you mind if you leaned on me while we make our way to a nearby café? I’m actually a little worried you’re gonna fall on your face and hurt yourself… While I know you’re normally pretty steady on your feet, it doesn’t seem like that’s the case for you at the moment.”

“Not for lack of trying,” Sebastian returned, giving a halfhearted smile as he continued following him.

While he knew the offer to help support him came from a kind place, he was convinced Jack was incapable of ill will, he still flashed a fanged warning at the other and narrowed his eyes at him. “I’m perfectly capable of walking myself.” The demon snapped, letting out a short huff after and purposefully putting a little distance between them even though he was enjoying what little heat came off the snowy guardian. Fate was a cruel bitch; however, and he did manage to trip on an uneven patch of snow and ice and while the demon was able to recover and stay upright, the blow to his pride would have normally started a fire where he capable.

When he saw those fangs, he admittedly did take a step back to give the other space, holding up his hands in slight surrender. "Oookay. Don't say I didn't try to warn ya." If he learned anything within these past few months, it's that bared teeth means back off. So he did. Although... Recently, that action had reminded him of black cats who decide to tread with caution and hiss at anything or anyone they don't seem safe. Strange... He didn't know why really.

Once he saw the other trip, he was about to grab his arm and pull him back. Luckily, the other saved himself which made him feel relieved. At the same time though, he rolled his eyes and smirked, finding the demon's stubbornness annoying yet hilarious. "Yeah, no, you're not. Come on, just hang onto me, you big doofus. It's not that far of a walk, I promise."

He slid under Sebastian's arm and made it rest on his shoulder, holding it in place with one hand, while he wrapped his other arm around the other's waist. "Let's go." He led Sebastian out of the alleyway and made their way down the street.

“H-Hey you…” He couldn’t help but laugh a little at the other’s joke, but worry was etched on his face. “As fun as that would be, I’ll have to take you up on that another time. We need to get you warmed up… Can I help you stand?”

He offered his demonic friend a hand, really hoping that he’ll take it. “Lets get you out of here,” he said with a small smile on his face.

Of all the things that uneasy feeling from before could’ve pointed to, he definitely didn’t expect it to be Sebastian stuck in an alleyway. He remembered the Wind blew a small blizzard through the city a few hours ago, but now that it’s died down, all that’s left now are big, fluffy flakes. It was something pretty he liked to leave at times, but now that he saw how it was affecting his friend, he started to regret the whole thing.

‘How in the world did he get stuck here?“ he thought. 'Why would he be out in the first place? Did it have to do with finding souls to eat again? He must be starving if he had to go out in this…’

Sebastian could have laughed at that, and he almost did if simply breathing didn’t hurt with how cold his body thought the outside world was at the moment. The most he could muster to show his amusement was a halfhearted huff, his breath billowing out in front of his face. "You? Warm me up? Now I know I’ve hit my head. I’m must be hallucinating.”

He regarded the offered hand with knit eyebrows and it took him a moment or two to decide that accepting it wasn’t the worst thing that could happen to him. The demon stood on shaky legs that he wasn’t entirely certain he could feel which only served to sour his mood even more so. ‘Pathetic. Absolutely pathetic.’ He chastised himself mentally, trying to straighten up a bit though he wrapped his arms around himself and tried to rub some life back into his frozen limbs.
