To @kushandwizdom this is a rather unfair portrayal of Africa as a whole since half of these are literally just South Africa. So Instead to add to this post and better dispel the myth of Africa as the vast wasteland of poverty most people think, I found a much more mixed collection of pics from various countries.

Its even worse than that. I’m living through it. Not only are schools closing, hospitals are collapsing. Only around 9% of the island has electricity and it comes and goes at times.

People are dying in hospitals because of lack of diesel for the generators, a lot of the water is now infected, there are disease outbreaks and scareceness of food. I am safe, but many are not.

Some have water, others don’t. We need help. Sending money would be helpful but what would help even more would be sending water filters, filtering water bottles, food, medicine, if somehow possible diesel.

All of you reblogging this news helps, but what we need is physical help. If you can’t, then spread the word, but God if you can send supplies… Please… PLEASE do. We are dying. Help us, help us save ourselves. Help us save our people. Help us save out ISLAND.

I don’t mean to be fake deep about this but literally every time I listen to Harry’s cover of girl crush I have an existential crisis for an hour and just….the sincerity he sings it with is what gets me the most I think??? like the Spotify version is literally just him sounding….absolutely broken, coming to terms with the fact that nothing he does is gonna make this guy love him and the live version when he goes off on the second verse “I don’t get no sleep, I don’t get no peace” it’s like he’s angry at himself for still thinking about all this shit because it isn’t gonna change anything?? and the sincerity is just overwhelming??? he took a song that came off as really…hokey and really pathetic and made it into this heart wrenching masterpiece and I can never cope with it
