Currently sitting next to the pond where I sometimes come to hang out and/or pick up trash. I eventually noticed this duck sloooowly scooting closer and closer to me for several minutes, often making direct eye contact.

And while I loved this development, I was also wondering what it was doing. I’d be sorry to disappoint if it came looking for food. But then, out of nowhere, a little one popped up from beneath the waterline.

Mom is serving as a lifeguard trying to see if it’s safe for her kids to swim with me around! And just like that, there’s suddenly four ducklings around her diving into the pond and racing each other. What good parenting

When the Birdfy camera needs to be charged or does not work (like today), I sometimes stick one of the Wyze cams in the feeder. This was recorded today and it cracked me up. That Cardi did NOT want to share 😆 Their noises are so funny to me. Madame Woodpecker contorts herself because the feeder was empty and she tried to see if she could find anything.
