HELLO! I’m going to try and be back now, but I know it’s been AWHILE because of my sudden illness, so please let me know if you want to continue an rp that was ongoing prior to this! I’ll both be pinning this and reblogging it a couple times today to try and squeeze it into people’s path, y’know?

The silence seemed to stretch for ages, though in reality it was probably only a few seconds. Once the Rose Quartz finally replied, a strange mixture of relief and disappointment washed over Pearl. This wasn't her Rose. Of course. She knew that.
"Really?" It was admittedly a bit surprising to hear; what could be loud out here where there was...nothing?
"Well! In any case...you were probably fighting during the Gem War and were corrupted. But you're better now! Better than most, actually." Why did she have a complete lack of corruption scars?
"All of the other Gems have been healed as well, in this very pool. Well, three of them. Pink Diamond isn't exactly..."
"....around." That was not a part of the story she usually went into depth with in her introductory spiel.
"It's also Era III now, so you don't have to fulfill your original purpose if you don't want to. And if you're not sure what you do want to do, there is lots to explore at Little Homeworld!"
"I know that's...a lot, so do you have any questions so far?"
A lot was an understatement, Rose thought. Having to take a moment herself to process all the new information. A pause, looking down at the water beside her with a frown. A whole new Era... It was strange, that. Realizing she'd been gone for the worst of it. Hearing, even implied, that the other Diamonds had helped was something she just couldn't wrap her head around.
"The.. Diamonds are okay with that? Not doing what you're supposed to. I-I thought everyone nearly..." Rose doesn't finish, because it doesn't need to be. The Corrupted Gems, healed, too?
That slow, gnawing dread in her Gem that she didn't have any purpose herself. She was supposed to appear sooner, to help, and it's only after the dust has settled that she was here. Now she didn't know what to do with herself.
"It's not that I think you're lying!" she adds hastily, fidgeting with end of long curls for a moemnt. "Just.. well, that's a lot to have changed, after all."
“...I missed Halloween.” She cannot be feral on main, a true tragedy.
Okie dokes, people that still wanted a reply have theirs queued, so they’ll be posted tomorrow! I’d do them now but I want to give myself a bit of a buffer to get back into it. Might lurk around while I’m here and getting back into things.

Hey everyone! Starting to feel better but still riding out the end of sickness lethargy. So hopefully I’ll be back near Sunday-Monday! So sorry for the wait, everyone!
Oh yeah, know how I said I was better? That was a lie! The kidney stones are goin’ strong, so I will unfortunately likely be out for the rest of the month! I’m super sorry for this but, well, my health comes first and I can’t get in the right headspace to write Rose.
So, until that’s settled (hopefully by the end of the month), this blog’s taking a health hiatus!!!

“But.. But Rose.” The little Gem begun to sob, trying to refrain from crying thoug it was too late. Clear tears were welling up in the corners of Black Star’s eyes as guilt panged in her heart. Sure Rose said she didn’t need to apologize, but Black Star felt bad!
She had run away during the biggest fight of their lives! For eons Diopside felt she was a coward for fleeing, from leaving close allies behind due to her being scared. Her throat begun to clench up as Black Star had a hard time talking. Salty tears pooled down her face as she loudly sobbed, clutching onto the Quartz’s dress.
“I’m sorry! I’m so sorry!” Face was buried in the material, staining Rose’s dress.
“Really, it’s fine...” She knelt down proper, giving the small Gem a few reassuring pats on the back as Black Star clutched to her dress to cry into. Rose wasn’t sure how to properly explain, of course, that the temptation to run didn’t seem that bizarre to her because it was the entire purpose of her rebellion. That selfish purpose that would taint the entire thing when it got out. Stars, did Rose Quartz understand...
“Do you want to know a secret? If Earth wasn’t as important as it was, I probably would have ran away, too. I can’t blame you for something I would have considered, too...” A wry little laugh, embarrassed by her admitting of that fact.
“You didn’t have nearly as much time as I had to get attached to it, so leaving instead definitely makes complete sense to me.”
Oh yeah, I’ve been here btw, hi! I’ve been picking at my replies. Sorry I forgot to say that but yeah I’m back!

hey all i should post this here too but i thiiink (like 95% sure since everyone i’ve told said it is) i have a kidney stone issue at present and uh
well, i’m not gonna be active until that’s resolved, really sorry.
still a liiiittle out of it, it hasn’t gone away, but i’ve been chipping at replies here. so hopefully hope hope hopefully i’ll push a few replies out come monday. super sorry.
