It’s a war—out there—in—an information war.

You have to go in cautious, you have to be careful not to get drawn out, to reveal yourself. Whatever you say, whatever you give, whatever you emit, is recorded and stored and used against you. First level, 101 is to learn to navigate the areas that they cannot easily track. Only there can you begin to communicate.

Second level, when you open your head to information you must have a sense of your own construction. Most people hadn’t any sense of this. No idea of what education is and what education does. Education constructs you in codes. Psychology, psychiatry, all of this orientates you towards certain codes, questions, certain interpretations.

Finally, you need to learn to want less. No one can recover the full history. It’s a fucking mess out there. How are the ringroads connected? The autocars? How did Tao’s hop affect the Complex? How did anything affect it? The war? Deuter-B? Clearing up Alice’s house.

It will swallow you up.
