hi there. My name is Mel. I’m a big fan of Rick and Morty, so this is my RnM side blog!

I am an artist, and a writer! Maybe I’ll start posting my fanfics here, who knows. I sure don’t.

I often am very socially unaware, I am trying to be better about this but I am still learning. Please keep this in mind if I violate a social rule or something. Literally, just tell me and I will correct course.

I don’t like rickorty. It’s just not my thing. I don’t ship it. Feel free to interact, if you do though. I can’t really stop you.

Just note that none of my stuff will be rickorty, and if it seems that way, that is not how it was intended.

I may also occasionally reblog rickorty stuff, I just don’t really look at tags before I reblog. If it’s rickorty, and it’s not super obvious, I probably won’t realize.

I do commissions. Please DM me about them! I have yet to make a commission sheet.

Thinking of Morty and Summer being assholes again and really picking apart everyone in their family in front of Rick, when they lightly make fun of Jerry for being a loser and one of them says he’s one catastrophe away from killing himself, and the other says it’s a miracle he hasn’t done it yet

And Rick finally chimes in and says that they’re absolutely right and Jerry IS one bad thing happening away from killing himself, and that he knows better than anyone because he’s actually been inside Jerry’s head before. And that one of these days he’s going to stop finding reasons to keep living, and really tears into Morty and Summer about how they could be a little nicer to Jerry (in a round about classic Rick way that makes them feel extra shitty) and he ends it all with “n-n-not that I care or anything.” And let’s Summer and Morty stew in their own guilty feelings.

And yes they’re significantly more pleasant to Jerry after that.

Rick prime portal gun size?

so I’m thinking about being Rick prime for Halloween. But for this I need to make a portal gun prop.

I’ve decided to do this portal gun, because I think it fits Rick prime the best? anyways

but here’s the thing. I need to figure out how big it is.

and I’m not super great at math so this is probably slightly off but.

I know this is probably not perfect. Math has never been my forte. But I went off the idea that Rick is around 6’4 to 6’6.

Regarding the questions around when Diane was omegaed based on Field of Dreams, I think there are two main considerations.

Different dimensions don’t seem to necessarily be ‘in sync’ with each other timewise. In Rick’s crybaby backstory, he still seems to be fairly young when he spies on a Rick with a Summer and Morticia who appear to be around 17 and 14. My headcanon is that all dimensions were synced when the Central Finite Curve/Citadel was built. Therefore, if Diane was omegaed when our Beth was around 17, it could be possible that other Beths were older or younger and so experienced this at a different age - hence why sober Rick says Beth ‘was so little’.

Morty is making assumptions about sober Rick’s Diane. While she also would’ve been affected by the Omega Device, it’s possible that she did genuinely leave him and Beth years before she was erased.

What the FUCK

That left me as traumatized as Morty holyshit wtf what was that what is anything omg.

OK, SO Morty was gone for like weeks maybe?¿ months?? And no one cared? I mean I guess that kind of what the episode is about really, and it's not the first time it happened but still...

Well... we all knew that Morty entering the lives of a non-portal traveller family was just going to ruin them... the death scene was very brutal tho...

Also of course they can't actually be a nice family because why would they be? Poor Mort didn't get the chance to run away...

Also I felt so bad for Rick’s new wife because we all knew what was about to happen and also what's up with Morty saying Rick belonged to him more than her???

Morty has Rick's eyes canonically... I would be more focused on this if the episode hadn't destroyed my life.

Last but ABSOLUTELY NOT LEAST we have the ending. Okay, so when did we establish the fact that Rick is now Morty’s DAD?!? HELLO??? NO? PLEASE NO?

Like, that is the single worst more manipulative step that relationship could have escalated to??? Are we all actually insane. Have we lost our minds?

The scene from the ending parallels the first one ever of the show all the way back on season 1.... idk what to do with that...

Also, alcoholism... yey... is Morty gonna start drinking in the next season? I feel like they're really foreshadowing that.

Ok, I'm maybe gonna post more about this later, emphasis on the maybe, bc I am just in shock right now. But there is something else I kinda wanna talk about that I wish I didn't but has gotten more and more impossible to ignore...

Ya'll, after all is said and done, it's just a show. A comfort show for some maybe, but you shouldn't let it dictate your mental state. Specially because it is becoming more and more clear to me that this cycle of abuse does not end and the show will not have a happy ending.
