The best visual representation of organized chaos I've seen in a while.
Research Quality Real Human Skulls () - Skulls Unlimited is proud to offer Research Quality Natural Bone Human Skulls. Every specimen is meticulously prepared in our laboratories with great care and dignity. This attention to detail results in the highest quality human skulls available for medical research and educational needs. Each specimen, if requested, is provided with known age, gender, and race.
Since when does Skulls Unlimited sell human skulls and skeletons?! It's been too long since I've visited. Look at how different each skull is! Imagine being able to reconstruct the facial features...
Gonna dye this mop of hair so people stop calling me Angel, Rapunzel, etc etc.
Here it is, as done as it's ever gonna be.
This is Mu'tal, my priest character for the Storium game, "The Theft of a Star". He's a bit rude.
"The atazaai are a race of shade-like humanoids renowned for their spiritual abilities. They make good temple priests and even better temple guards. Their unearthly presence has a way of rattling most, regardless of race or position. That, coupled with personalities ranging from sharp to caustic, has caused the race to find it difficult to expand from their particular niche for the last few hundred years. It takes a very special kind of person to make a friend of an atazaat."
I can't be the only one who clicks on a Storium game I don't intend on playing just to read the cards.
It makes me feel bad when I cancel the character...
but not bad enough to stop.
I like getting to know someone to the point where I can tell exactly where their story stops and their exaggeration begins.
That moment when your friends learn you're not their art charity service.
What do you mean you won't paint me a 8 x 10 of the Doctor?
Can't you just take five minutes to design me a (complicated and specific) tattoo?
You draw every day, why are you asking me to pay you?
I think I just got tricked into going on a date.
Not too sure of that gauntlet, will probably redesign after some practice.
I have this coworker who has body issues. She's beautiful. She knows I think she's beautiful, she knows others think she's beautiful. Still, she's overly critical of the slightest amount of weight she gains or loses, and wears sweat clothes more than anything else as of late.
She's talked to me about it, we've worked out the reasons why; her past, the ways she sees herself and others. She doesn't hang out with me as much anymore. Once, she mentioned that she always sees me gussied up and cute, and it makes her feel like a slob.
I just wish I could be her ghost of Christmas present and show her how other women deal daily with the same issues; especially women with hormone imbalances like me, or trans women, or anyone else who has to put in extra effort to pass as "normal". I want to show her that her 'just threw something on' is many other peoples' 'one to two hours of preparation'.
It wouldn't be to invalidate the way she feels about herself, but maybe it would give her some perspective. Maybe she wouldn't look at me or look at other women and immediately think the grass is greener. Maybe it would show her there's nothing wrong with taking extra time to make yourself look good.
Gotta somehow make this dumb scribble look like a hand, ugh.
It's my Friday, I have a bartender that will get me drunk for free, and a fun group of people to hang with.
And yet, all I can think of is if I get drunk and sleep in too late, I might miss something important in my Storium games.
An oldie, but a goodie.
Gonna start this blog off right.
Larger size of my tiger icon, might revisit the full sketch some time down along the line. For now I just slapped this together because I thought it looked cool.
