Yes, we hear it all the time.. but do we really give ourselves time to complement and say positive things to one another? Fact is, there will always be someone who is better than you; may it be in sports, playing an instrument, the looks , school or even life itself.. but we should remember that NOBODY has it all together and even the best will fail.. So instead of complaining and whining why someone is better than ourrselves, we should thank God for what He has given us... man, HE has made us in his perfect image so if you truly believe in Him you shouldn’t have the right to complain about anything. All we have to do is not focus on the abilities of others but do our best for our Lord Jesus Christ. I know that this video speaks of working your butt off to become better and everything, and don’t get me wrong, that’s great.. but let’s do EVERYTHING for God, and as He has promised in his Word, the outcome will be extraordinary! "In everything you do, put God first, and He will direct you and crown your efforts with success." - Proverbs 3:6. And please; if you have it ‘all together’ and if you really are the Best in everything that’s awesome BUT as Christians, we shouldn’t be the big brother who underestimates his little brother.. or think we are better than others, but instead we should help one another to become better followers of Christ by simply saying nice words to each other.. In other words.. become NICE people.. not arrogant or ‘I am better than you’ people. Jesus wasn’t like that! He was PERFECTION (meaning: He was perfect in EVERYTYHING) in human form, yet He never bragged about anything. Let’s stay humble and help each other become better people,amen?

  Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you.  1 Peter 5:6

thoughts on devotion

It’s amazing how God gives strength. The last couple of weeks have been more than great. The last days, I was given the chance to share my experiences with my dearest friends, cousins, and even the church congregation. It has been CHU-RAAAZY what God has been doing in my life. My prayer is that God will give me more, more, more of His love, knowledge and wisdom. He has been feeding me with so much love! “Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.” I’ve heard these words I think about 2,31million times, but I only started to realize what they say. He is around us 24/7 bro! When you are asleep, at school, eating, watching TV, He is always there! And He is just waiting for us to say “What’s up God?”. He wants us to start a conversation with Him, literally SPEAK to him and spend a little bit of our day with Him.. still sometimes it seems so hard. Once we understand that we have to do something in order for God to move in our lives, I am telling you.. it is going to change your life! For me, the word “devotion” meant that I should set my alarm, open my devotion-app every morning and find out what God wants to say to me. “Man, I hope that this devotion helps me through my problems and I hope that it’s the perfect one for me, and if not, .. well maybe tomorrow!” Now I realize and understand the true meaning of true devotion. It is not all about reading some random stories with some random bible verses.. It's more than that! Of course it's very important to read the word everyday and everything- but it's not just that.  Devotion is not even hard to do you know? Sometimes it feels like a burden to us but in reality, it is something so beautiful that gives YOU strength! Actually God doesn't need us to come to Him but man,.. He is so good that He allows us to come to Him whenever we want. And that my friend is such a great gift that we have to cherish. It's better than anyone or anything can offer. Everyone has a different devotional life, and I hope that we would find the way in which we could spend time with God FOR REAL. If that means that you experience Him with the TV on, so be it. Or maybe when you are listening to some random worship songs in the train, so be it. But you have to find the way you can draw near to Him in order for Him to move in your life. 

“And when you pray, you must not be like the hypocrites. For they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and at the street corners, that they may be seen by others. Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward. But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.'' Matthew 6:5-6

mysterious ways.

God works in mysterious ways. For real, He does. He won’t stop until He has it all. It can turn out to be very, VERY hurtful, but in the end.. SOMEHOW it all makes perfect sense. It’s amazing how He has to break someone like me first, in order for me to seek Him with all of my heart.. At the lowest point of my life, where there seemed to be no hope, no joy.. He suddenly reveals His love to me.. I know it’s very cliché but it is SO TRUE! When you have nothing left in your life, when you feel alone and lonely, all of the sudden He shows His self to you. All my life I was a so called “Christian”, but to be honest, I experienced Him only a few days ago. When I was down and had nothing left He told me that it was time.. it was time to let go of EVERYTHING and let Him move in my life. GAH I had so many questions in my head, still have, but I trust in Him with all of my heart. I leave it all to Him. I believe that He has something GREAT, something SPECIAL in store for me. All I have to do is be patient, and love Him unconditionally like He first loved me. Yes, it might look like I don’t have anything anymore.. No school, no work.. no girlfriend.. but you know; I may have lost all these things, but still I know for myself, that I have FINALLY found the most PRECIOUS, the most BEAUTIFUL, the most VALUABLE thing anyone can have.. and that’s the love of our great God. So no matter what happens in the future.. no matter what comes my way, I believe and trust in Him.  --ejr

realization

Words can not express how I feel right now. Who would have thought that I would have my spiritual breakthrough in my room, in the middle of the night? With NOONE around? To be honest I thought that I would experience Him when I am with my other friends at church, or during a worship service.. but again; God works in MYSTERIOUS ways. It’s unbelievable. God has put something in my heart. Something I want to share with others. Believe me, Gods love is so special. It’s more than joy or satisfaction. It completes you. And I really want everyone(!) to feel His presence. And it’s not just about the singing part of a worship service or the jumping around, screaming, whatever.. it’s about giving yourself away! Giving your whole life away! And once you really do that.. I am telling you, He will move into your life and do more than great things.

‘‘But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.’’ Matthew 6:33
