silur - the wild
silur is the primordial god of forests and the wild, patron of the faunwilds and its ancestral inhabitants the fauns. silur loathes all mortals due to their sense of order and civilization. worship of this god is sparse and mostly located in the central faunwilds, the fauns’ ancestral homeland. only those blessed by silur can enter its sacred forests and live to tell the tale, otherwise, they are doomed to wander aimlessly until they die.
it is said that when mortals first began to abandon primitivity in favor of building civilizations, they lost touch with silur and its power began to wane. it travelled to a distant land to die, instead giving birth to lorien, god of wisdom and knowledge and patron of all mortals. when lorien saw that silur looked upon them in shame, they invented written language by carving the story of their birth on silur’s horns, immortalizing the tale.
