“now that’s the kind of faith only a sister can have.” or perhaps a mother or father in any other family, but. it’s not that they’re unsupportive, they just disagree on some matters. matters…which…honestly astoria can no longer remember the importance of at the moment. “no, why would you do that?? it would spoil all the fun! i only wish i could see the looks on their faces when they read about my accomplishment.” her smile falters for a moment – she can’t help wondering when, if ever, she’ll get to go home. shouldn’t school be starting up soon? september 1, she knows that much. astoria can’t help but roll her eyes and sigh in annoyance. “ugh, but go on…” she opens her mouth to respond, but nothing comes out. actually…good question. “um…well. you can hardly blame me for blocking that from my mind when it’s still technically summer.”

“of course, i have to be supportive of my little sister and her silly antics.” it was something she had always made a point of doing in the areas where their own parents fell short and she had always tried to play mediator in the arguments even if she had strong opinions of her own, if only because in the beginning she hadn’t been entirely on her sisters side but she hadn’t wanted to argue with her. even now she was struggling to work through the pureblood beliefs that she had been raised on and sort through what was okay and what wasn’t okay. “perhaps i can ask one of our cousins to go and take a picture when it arrives.” is what she offers next. daphne just blinks at her sister’s inability to remember school. “do you remember who harry potter is?” if astoria remembered her, maybe she would remember the boy who lived.

“and you just expected it would remain empty forever? there are a lot of people around here.” she won’t say that he has a fair point because despite it being empty, she had still been hit. “i don’t know the details, i don’t think anyone does - i just know that i’m very lucky that my sister even seems to recognize me. she can’t remember anything else and she even thinks that she works here.”
