🌙 My Witchy Bedroom Cleaning Routine ⚡
Hey witches! This is what I personally do to clean my bedroom as a witch. I find incorporating witchcraft into housekeeping really changes it from a mundane task into a pleasant and grounding practise.
To begin, I open my window to allow fresh air to circulate and to let stagnant energy out.
My first task is stripping my bedcovers and putting them in a laundry, then making up my bed with fresh pillowcases and sheets. I personally spritz my bed linen with a homemade essential oil spray made from water, witch hazel and lavender essential oil. My predominant scent for the bedroom is lavender due to its relaxing and sleep aid properties, but you can use whatever you like.
I make lavender sachets out of dried lavender which I place under and in my pillowcases.
I then move onto clearing my floor of any clothing. I have a laundry basket in the corner where I place dirty clothing, and I fold everything clean up or hang it in my wardrobe. I love to use my essential oil diffuser with my favorite scents and place it in my wardrobe to make my clothing smell lovely and fresh, and I make herbal sachets for inside my drawers for the same purpose.
Any other miscalleneous items on my floor or chair get put away in their correct areas. I have a basket under my nightstand which I have gotten into the habit of placing random items in, so I sort through this and put everything away.
I then move into organising the tops of my dressers and tables. I usually move most items off surfaces and onto my bed while I spray and wipe all of my surfaces down. I make my own cleaning spray out of white vinegar, citrus peels and lemongrass essential oils for this purpose. I also empty all of my incense holders of ash and then rearrange everything back into its correct place.
The next step is my altar. After wiping down the surface of my altar, I rearrange it how I wish. If I’m performing a certain spell that day, I will also make sure my needed items are laid out and ready to go.
All items off my windowsill then get taken off while I wipe it down with my spray and wipe. Many of my crystals and plants are stored here, and I rearrange afterwards as I wish.
Now that my floor is cleared, I am able to vacuum.
I then cleanse my room either using a sage stick or sage incense.
Finally, I water all my plants, set out fresh flowers on my nightstand and either use my essential oil diffuser, light an incense or light a scented candle to make my room smell lovely. 💖
This is probably my favorite form of personal cleansing~
Soooooo I’m going to NYC soon, and I’m really panicking.
I’ve been to tons of big cities (ex: LA, Chicago, SAN Diego, SAN Fran, Memphis…), all of which I thought merged urban with nature pretty nicely.
New York, is a foreign concept to me, and all I imagine is endless concrete. I don’t know if I can handle a lack of trees or not being able to see the stars.
I decided to make a portable altar, so I can bring my home with me. I put in some of my favorite views of the night sky, and a mossy base.
I think it will help.

university/college witch tips
☕️ brew a cup of tea in between, after, and/or before classes. use herbs according to certain correspondences(I personally use lavender & chamomile after class, rosemary & mugwort before or in between if I have enough time). stir in sugar with intention. pour in a thermos if you’re on the go.
☀️ wake up 20 minutes early and meditate. set intentions or goals for the day, say your prayers, give thanks to the universe or to your deity, focus on your chakras. whatever feels right and simple, make it a part of your morning. [alternative: if you have 20 minutes in between classes this can really help you unwind before your next class]
🎧 instead of listening to your regular music, find something spiritually enriching to listen to when you have a moment. there’s plenty of wonderful spirits on youtube, instagram, etc. that speak to me on a daily. listen to an astrology forecast, a tarot reading, info on certain gods or deities, other witches and their practice, anything that resonates with you. [alternative: find witchy playlists on spotify, tumblr, or 8tracks* ]
📔 combine your practice with your planner. jot down the astrological influences of each week/day. track your tea intake. record pre-planned workings/spellwork/rituals/etc. dedicate a spread to your intentions each Moon cycle, at the end of the cycle cross off everything that manifested, migrate the remaining intentions to the next spread. this is a great pastime when you’re bored in class
♥️ shuffle your tarot/Oracle/etc. cards in class. take them with you throughout the day, let them experience what you do. at the end of the day ask them for their thoughts, or any other thing you feel. make sure to cleanse your deck however you prefer after a long day, your cards will absorb all the energy around you and it may lead to them acting wonky
🖊 draw sigils to help you study and prepare for tests. if you’re struggling with lateness, come up with a sigil to help you be more time efficient. if you suck at homework, write a symbol for wisdom or focus on yourself before you start doing it. sigils are an urban witches best friend
💸 to save money, diy items for your altar. if you live on a college campus, there’s plenty of places where people give away unwanted items either or free or really cheap. get them, if they resonate. paint them, sculpt around them, whatever. then put it on your altar
*I have a bunch of songs that I can put together in tailored playlists if anyone wants
Witchy Crafts
I’ve been scouring pinterest lately for witchy crafts, and here are some I’ve found, along with what I would use them for!
Wall Hanging - Okay so I made a really cool wall hanging for someone a while ago, and with their permission, I enchanted it to bring motivation, happiness, and warmth to their space. I feel like you could do the same with any wall hanging. I added braids, chestnut halves, and even color coordinating yarn to make mine.
Star Light Garland - Great for Cosmic Witches! Or for those of you who need a little light around your altar, around your bed for soft light, etc.
Flower Candle Holders (Plaster Dipped Flowers) - Yes, you can buy these already made, but aren’t the ones linked so awesome? I think it makes perfectly preserved flowers to keep all year, and the flame of the candle might help draw their energy out!
Concrete Dragon Egg Candle Votives - While we’re on the topic of candle holders, why not take a look at these amazing ‘dragon egg’ ones? If you work with dragon spirits, or really any animal/creature spirit with eggs, it will look amazing on your altar!
Watercolour Painted Pillow - For all of you who use magic to work your way into your dreams, or are looking for a fun way to calm yourself before bed, try this! You can even paint it with moon water!
Dream/Wish Jar - All you have to do is write down your dreams/wishes on the paper of your choice, and throw them in a jar. I suggest making matching sigils for each one, and burning them at the full moon. I made one, and it looks so cute in my room! Super great for hidden witches!
Moon Rocks - I know, I know, not exactly a moon rock, but if you make these with moon water in place of regular water, and charge them under the full moon, they could stand in for the moon on cloudy nights, charge your crystals, etc.
DIY Essential Oil Diffuser Necklaces - Obviously, this is a really inconspicuous way to use essential oils! You could wear one for protection when you’re feeling unsafe, attract love on the days you want too, and even give them away as gifts to other witches!
DIY Detoxifying Activated Charcoal Soap - Okay, but how much witchery could you do with these? So much!! After you are finished cursing, or perhaps on the night of a full moon, you could scrub up with this and get all kinds of cleansed!
Ombre Mermaid Soap - All the yes. Sea witches could use this in Mermaid beauty bath spells, or give it up as an offering! They’re so pretty, and with a little enchantment, could be magical!
Jellyfish in a Bottle - Do you interact with spirits of the sea? Maybe Jellyfish? Then go ahead and capture their beauty with this awesome DIY, and use the bottle as a spirit vessel for your jellyfish guests!
Mini Natural Brushes (Brooms) - These are great for on the go witchery, or for painting out your spells. You can keep dried ‘brushes’ in mini altar kits to use as a besom, or use them as brushes for making sigils, etc.
Lay-Flat Storage Mat - Divination Supplies, witchy spell kits, enchanted jewelry- the opportunities are endless! Use black to keep the energy locked inside, and paint or draw sigils on it for an added boost!
DIY Hand Cast - Make your own palmistry guide using this neat craft. You can cast your hand and paint on it however you’d like!
Pressed Flower Candles - Preserve the beautiful energy of almost any flower by creating a candle with it! Burn the candle when you need the herb or flowers energy for your spell, and Make as many as you can while the flowers are blooming!
Wind Chimes - Perfect for alerting you of potential intruders, Wind chimes placed inside can add a natural, as well as witchy, flair to your space. If you hear it, but there is no wind, you’ll know someone has come to visit!
DIY Candles - Add your energy as you make these candles for a boost in your spells. There’s even a ‘Sprinkes’ candle you can enchant to grant wishes, and you can light this every year on your birthday.
Bird’s Nests - Yes, you can make a nest of your own! Using special herbs, you can make a home fit for a spirit, or use it as a shrine to the Air element.
Wooden Spoons (Personalized) - With a wood burner and some concentration, you too can make a Kitchen Wand! Enchant soups and pastas with special energy with your very own wooden Spoon Wand!
Gazing Ball - So, this isn’t exactly a crystal ball, but it will work just like a scrying mirror. Simply follow the directions, and, if you wish, exclude the additions to the sphere. Then, you’re good to go!
DIY Succulent Planters - Green witches, I got a DIY for you, too! Make these succulent planters, and put them near a window, especially if your altar is near by. They’ll provide protection and hardiness to your home and its defense systems!
Crystal Candle Votives - These crystals are 100% made by you. You can give them special intentions and colour them accordingly. Have fun making your own set of crystals!
Paper Leaf Garland - A little bit of nature for your altar! I know it isn’t real, but for those of you who can’t grow a plant near your altar, it will work beautifully!
Wish Bracelets - I loved mine when I had it! They’re super fun to wear, and will be a discreet witchy project for you to try. Just make a wish, and wait for it to fall off!
Rustic Twig Ornaments - Use these as wards throughout your home, and enchant them to bring you whatever you need.
Button Bicycles - To help your spell get going, throw in a button bicycle! Use it inside poppets, sachets, etc.
Packaging Tape Image Transfers - These can help you label your herbs, crystals, and spell jars! Have fun coming up with cute designs and whimsical fonts!
Paper Envelopes - For those of you who send letters, write them, or use envelopes in your spells, you can create them using paper with this method!
SIMPLE PALMISTRY: • The right hand tells the future, the left hand tells the past. • A curved heart line means a very emotional and romantic person. • A short and straight heart line means a lot of sex, but very few love stories. • A long and straight heart line means a caring person, who will help others a lot. • A short head line means a quick thinker, and problem solver. • A long and curved head line means a deep thinker. • The length of the life line DOESN’T tell the length of a life. • A deep life line means an easier life than a very pale one.

💐Picnic witchcraft guide💐
Sandwich correspondences
Tea correspondences (sun tea, tea in general, floral tea)
Fruit correspondences
Vegetable correspondences
Flower correspondences- can be used as decoration, for flower crowns, as a fun nature activity (collecting them respectfully, of course), and edible flowers can be used for deserts, drinks, and salads!
Desserts- here’s some witchy desert recipes, perfect for any picnic!
(Tiny strawberry pies, cranberry pistachio shortbreads, cardamom pear cake, ginger and fig tart, apricot coconut bites, and lavender tea bread)
Locations- fun witchy locations for picnics include:
🌹a botanical garden, floral garden, or any sort of garden (perfect for fae, floral, air, green, life, spring, and summer witchcraft)
☀️a sunny open field/area (probably has wild flowers!, great for air, sun, floral, and weather witchcraft)
🌙⭐a night picnic under the stars and moon! (Perfect for lunar, nocturnal, and cosmic witchcraft)
🌳a park (great for all witchcraft, very versatile)
🌊💧a beach, pond, lake or near any body of water (perfect for water, sea, and love witchcraft)
👻a cemetery (perfect for death, spirit, medium, and floral witchcraft. Just make sure it’s allowed and you’re respectful of graves)
🌲A forest (perfect for forest, tree, nature, green, earth, and hedge witchcraft, here’s some tree correspondences)
Other witchy picnic ideas:
Stones/crystals to bring- it depends a lot on location and the general theme of the picnic! But a few favorites of mine are:
rose quartz, opalite, any aura quartz, sunstone, agate, tigers eye, and selenite (especially peach selenite)
Scents- I like to focus on scents a lot during picnics. It can make the experience so much more enjoyable! Location once again plays a huge roll, but you can always spray your picnic blanket with essential oils, use strongly scented herbs or flowers, use a specific perfume, or even a specific tea that smells good. Some scents I like to focus on during picnics are:
lemon, orange, grapefruit, lemongrass, strawberry, orange blossom, gardenia, rose and lavender
Bring some little spells or offerings with you! A picnic in nature is the perfect time to do a little crafting, especially love, self care, fae, peace and happiness spells. And you can correspond your picnic with the intent of the spell!
It’s also a great time for devotional offerings and any other offerings, especially fae offerings.
Put together a picnic spell- an entire picnic can be a spell! Everything from location, to drinks, to food, and the extra stuff you bring along can be in it.
🍑Have fun picnic witching! 💐
If you’re a secret witch
Use a shoe box to hide your more obvious items.
Keep herbs stored in ziploc bags to easily conceal them.
Take up “rock collecting”.
Candles and incense because they “smell good!”
Use an Altoids tin as an altar.
Buy crystal jewelry.
Use perfume to cleanse.
Essential oils can be used in place of most herbs and are less obvious.
Get into cooking, buying herbs is justified then. Plus, kitchen magic!

Draw a sigil with a white crayon on paper.
Put a pouch of herbs in your clothing drawers, if someone finds them, say it’s to decrease bad smells.
Incorporate magic into art.

Fairy gardens have been a thing for a long, long time. They’re not suspicious and very good for attracting the fae!
Enchant counter bowls of fruit or breads so that the food decays slower.
Remember that you’re still loved and valid as a secret witch 💖🌙
For the love of the Ram. Ram is symbolic of mental powers, high standards, a thirst for Gnosis, imagination and constant transformations demanding action. Deities connected to the ram are the Greek gods Zeus, Apollo and Hermes, the Celtic Cernunnos and the goddess Danu, the Egyptian god Amun Ra, the Indian gods Indra and Agni, and the Middle Eastern gods Baal and Ea.
How to do a Tea leaf reading (aka Tasseomancy or Tasseography):
1. Choose a loose tea - you may want to choose herbs that lend to your intent/question or to enhance psychic abilities. Alternately, if you dislike tea, coffee also works (it is from a plant after all).
2. Use a wide mouth tea cup with a saucer.
3. Sip, enjoy and allow your energy to infuse with the herbs. You can keep your question in mind, or just drink your tea and let the message you need to know come through.
4. When you are finished, here are two of many methods a) read the leaves as they naturally land when finished b) cover with the saucer and swirl the cup 3x while asking your question - an extended version of this includes flipping the cup upside down after swirling, then back over and wait a few moments for the leaves to settle back into the cup.
5. When reading, first observe the cup and allow your gut response to the pattern. e.g. Evenly spread out = balance in the persons life.. and so on. Closer to the rim indicates things happening in the home/close to the person, then immediate family/close friends, and so on to the bottom. Generally the reading begins at the handle which represents current events, moving clockwise (see diagram). Some people can see further than others. So the sections can be hours for a 24hr reading, or a year, or a lifetime.
Look for letters and symbols (see chart). Notice those that jump out first. Allow your third eye and minds eye to work together, like seeing shapes in clouds. The chart above is merely a guideline to assist you.. personal experiences and associations with a symbol should be trusted. :)

Making dried orange peel! These can be used for baths, hot teas or ciders, potpourri, or witchcraft! The process is extremely simple, and makes the entire house smell nice and fresh (which is also a good way to cleanse and banish negative energies in the home, as I’ve noticed). You can also do this with lemons, it’s the same process and the same usage!
The process: -Get a large amount of healthy oranges with unblemished skin. Be sure to wash the oranges and scrub them lightly, because they are often coated with lots of germs and pesticides, which you REALLY don’t want on your dried product!
-Peel them however you wish, I find it easier to peel the entire orange in a giant coil shape, and then cut that coil to whatever sized pieces that I want my end result to be. Keep in mind that bigger pieces will be easier to strain out of whatever you use these in, so shaving them extremely tiny isn’t very convenient.
-Set your oven to it’s lowest setting, preferably around 200°. Place an aluminum foil sheet over a cookie tray, and generously arrange your peels on the foil. You don’t have to wait until the oven is completely heated, just stick them in there.
-The key is to expose them to low heat for a long period of time, which I’ve estimated to be about an hour and a half. Turning up the heat higher in an attempt to make the process faster will result in a few scorched pieces instead of lightly browned and crisped. You’ll know they’re ready when you can pinch one in the middle and it won’t give at all. Don’t be afraid to stir them around a bit so they all can get even amounts of heat exposure.
-While you’re waiting for them to finish, you can cut open the peeled oranges, and either juice them or slice them for eating!
Voila, now you know what to do with those orange rinds that people often throw away! 😊
I so gonna do this
