Completely self indulgent gaalee wisdom teeth removal hcs

- he doesn't get all of then removed at once he gets the first two removed when he's young and gets the rest removed when hes grown

- awake when it happens

- "handled it well" + "very pleasant" if you could win the dentist he did

- high pain tolerance so no discomfort or pain (bitch)

- "honestly the pain does not compare to the pain of being cut from your stomach to your throat" "....what?"

- never sober after his surgery he overlaps his medication even though he has a high pain tolerance ("better safe then sorry" original quote by maito gai)

- minus the meds he listens to the instructions the dentist gives him to a T only soft foods cool pack on for 30 off for 30 no straws no spitting buuut he's doesn't stop training in fact he walks himself home on his hands both times :(

- no dry socket the first time got it the second you could hardly tell bc the previously mentioned pain tolerance

- a little disgusted by all the blood

- "yogurt should not taste like that" "It's your blood" "I do not care, it is gross!"

- normal recovery the first time fucked recovery the second time but it's fine

Overall he's cool (somehow)

Gaara

- got them all removed when he was grown he couldn't do it when he was young

- "what do you mean it's not normal to feel excruciating pain in the back of your mouth ?... what's a wisdom tooth"

- completely awake when it happens

- no pain tolerance but he's an expert at silent suffering

- although he did struggle in the chair he was very polite to the dentist

- "no Kankuro I can't take my meds they make me sleepy. I'll be fine." <- wouldn't say sleepy if he wasn't already exhausted

- ends up taking his meds like normal a few days in. doing work sleepy is better than doing it in pain + if he does fall asleep who cares he needs it

- beside the meds he listens to the dentist the best he can but if he's invited to a political dinner in the middle of his healing he'll risk it much to the dismay of his siblings

- no dry socket surprisingly

- Gaara was chill with the blood surprisingly, temari and Kankuro however HATED it

- "I don't think I've ever seen him bleed that much..." "I know, I don't like it" cue overprotective sibling montage

- by some miracle he's completely recovered at a normal time

Overall a pain but a success

I realize this is more gaara n Lee then gaalee but I don't care :|

Big fan of the idea of Gaara being quick to become friends with Hinata and Sakura. Hinata because they both have top-grade premium "Weird Kid Energy". Becomes friends with Sakura because he catches onto her anger issues and gives her The Nod of Understanding™️ whenever she’s experiencing murderous wrath.

Just in general, I like the "Girly Girl who is Not Ok & The Gnarled Little Abomination That She Vents To" dynamic.

I like drawings of Gaara that acknowledge that the eye markings are permanent. Bonus: I also really like drawings of Gaara that both Know The Prior Statement and also give him pronounced eyebags on top of the Perma-Eyeliner. Every time someone draws any of the Sand Sibs with a darker skin tone, it fills me with the kind of joyful confidence makes me want to cosplay as him. For a brief moment, I live in a world where I haven’t internalized colorism against specifically just myself, but then I look at the fucking notes of those amazing posts, and all I can do is sit there like ???

Don’t get me wrong, I like canon appearance Gaara as much as the next guy, and I think it’s funny that this little desert dweller is so pale. It adds to how out of place he seems amongst other people.

"We live in a hole in the ground in the middle of nowhere and are being slapped in the face by the sun every single day, why does he look Like That. Isn’t he burning right now?" And the answer being "sand shield" is EXTREMELY funny to me.

but sincerely: what the fuck why are so many people being so racist and colorist and just generally vile about artistic interpretation. What is wrong with you guys?
