A Guide  To Interacting with people  who have  Autism

- Ask them about special interest they will be happy talk about it - Don’t touch them without warning - Don’t make them feel bad about stimming. - Go some where to chat that isn’t busy or noisy if they issues with sound - Don’t assume things because of their ASD, ask them about it - Do your research on ASD before you meet up - Find out what you have in common - Do not put pressure on them to make eye contact - Be prepared to explain figures of speech - Don’t expect them to meet in big groups, this can be over whelming for many people with ASD and they may have social anxiety.
