you have to be careful reading too many things that are good/smart/well-written bc then you encounter something that isnt and you get confused like ? why didnt they just make this good ? were they stupid

as a former escape room host i highly recommend doing an escape room as a first date. its a great way to learn how ppl react under pressure and how well they collaborate with you right off the bat. also more than once ive seen people enter an escape room as a couple and exit broken up LOL its a fantastic litmus test
sorry to broadcast ur tags but this is also a valuable part of the litmus test! it seems like you learned a lot about how this person makes you feel in their social group. they didn't go out of their way to include you, and neither did their friends. therefore you can come to a pretty good conclusion about how you might feel being part of their life outside of an escape room; someone who doesnt include you or your feelings in a game is likely going to do the same in other situations
An experiment with a clear negative outcome is still a successful experiment.
detail photos from my latest sewing project & some backstory: i made this set using gobelin from 1970, salvaged from an elaborate folding screen by its seller. this added a massive challenge: the entire cut of fabric was 6 meters long by only 28cm wide. :') with strategical cutting and piecing, i made the pattern fit just right with basically no leftover fabric at all. phew! (the skirt is 7 panels!)
the accent fabric used for the sleeves and bonnet brim is linen, while a majority of the lace is from a local business specialized in vintage lace. it's still a bit of a wip as i'd like to add red ribbon details on the bonnet brim and sleeves, but overall, this was a very fun project, and i'm wondering if i should be offering similar sets as MTO items using various gobelin types... though i'm anxious to think about pricing since this is a very extensive pattern and far more expensive materials than the usual cotton. definitely let me know your thoughts if you'd be interested!

your historical fiction smut isn’t very accurate to the period. in the plague era of the 21st century, women’s bodies were so frail from the ravages of disease that they had to wear restrictive compression garments to squeeze the blood back into their brains so they wouldn’t pass out whenever they stood up. smut should feature extended compression garment removal scenes as part of the foreplay or it just isn’t realistic. really takes me out of the setting.
