AND HERE WE HAVE MY LATEST PIECE! It is unfortunately very mediocre to my other recent works, BUT that’s because I’m using it to learn Clip Studio Paint! This is my first official work in it! 8D

Anyway, it’s mostly frustrating right now and things continue to be mediocre, but I’m sure I’ll learn it in no time and get things looking good again! This is also my first time using my SHINY NEW SIGNATURE! <3

Despite all the KINK and WILDNESS going on it the comic, the guys do have time for a little traditional romance! Mostly because of Candy though, Scream’s actually pretty aro. He doesn’t mind participating though! He’s just not really sure how to feel about it nor express himself XD

I had every intention of drawing like an actual background and stuff to this, but got tired and so now they’re just sitting in the void XD

This is based on an Issue 0 idea, but will probably take place in canon as well

Basically in the Issue 0 version Cig gets tired of Scream always hounding Candy and acting like an entitled little bitch in his club, and threatens to kick him out for good (and possibly worse) if he comes around again. Candy, however, doesn’t want anything bad to happen to Scream and proposes that Scream come work for Cig as a server in his club. Being the sugar daddy that he is, Cig doesn’t wanna deny Candy his wants and agrees, but Scream tends to fall under that “my property” thing he applies to his sex workers as well. That also means he gets a sexy club-friendly uniform lmao

In possible canon the situation is a bit spicier with Scream also agreeing to be Cig’s sex slave to make up for “distracting Candy from his work”...which is promptly kinda “wait shit what did I agree to?”

While he continues to uphold his half of the bargain for Candy’s sake, Scream does have to deal with a lot of shit; such as Cig using his powers to “heat things up” by literally heating things up. YEAH, I kinda forgot to explain that Cig’s mutation is naturally being able to control his body heat to the point of producing smoke and heating up certain body parts to the extremity of a lit cigarette (THUS THE NAME)

Some timelines I made of Scream and Candy’s evolutions throughout the years for my DA account! Yeah I don’t think many people know that I made Scream just three years shy of a decade before I even thought about Candy lol

Scream actually started as something of a ‘sona for a project I had going at the time (which is also where the title “Spandex Spaceman” comes from) but kinda fell into the void of my mind once the project didn’t work out. A bit later I ended up revisiting him for an OCT, but it ended up falling through as well. Eventually I decided to “Frankenstein” together a story consisting of old OCs and concepts that I still loved but didn’t know what to do with anymore (which is now the current Spandex Spaceman) and he found himself back in action again, though he’s changed pretty drastically from his original self (at least in personality). While I no longer consider him a ‘sona, I still like projecting onto him; thus the similar body types, sexualities, etc. We’re just completely different in personality XD

As for Candy, he was a “just for fun” sketch that ended up looking appealing to me. Once I fixed him up I wanted to actually use him for something, but wasn’t sure what yet. His identity bounced around a bit starting more or less as a Deadpool ripoff who was a little more insane and violent than needed, even at one point with me thinking of him being a demon to explain his regeneration powers and stuff. He also became a “Deadpool meets Angel Dust” kinda thing for a while, but that’s not what I wanted either. While he still teeters toward the Deadpool/Angel Dust combo, he’s come a long way now  that I finally placed him in my Spandex Spaceman universe and hope he continues to grow and become a really fun, interesting character as the story goes by as well!

Really, I hope you guys come to love and care about my characters as much I do, and I can’t wait to see where this takes me!

For now I call it “Issue 0″ as it’s not official to the canon story yet, but can be put in later. Otherwise the official title is “Serving Up Scream” and it gets it own title page (thus not on the cover here)

This is also the most accurate character designs I have drawn of these guys right now lol

Here’s a pic I did for Pride earlier this year! They’re on the weirder side of LGBT+ representation I’ll admit but they’re queer created (polyam aromantic bisexual trans man here babies!) and canonically queer themselves (Scream being aromantic bisexual like myself and Candy being full on gay) none the less! Also I couldn’t figure out where to fit in a flag for it but they’re also both polyam!
