Reminder that shinigami eyes also gets reviewed by real people and is not going to flag or highlight a user just because someone submitted it. So yeah stay critical sure, in case you see anything incongruous and need to contact a mod or something. But keep in mind that not only have people already reviewed this information and OK'd it for a reason, but there's also tons of people very invested in making useless the few tools we have for protecting trans people from them. If someone's flagged red it's for a reason and you probably shouldn't be "hearing them out" or giving them the time of day. Shinigami eyes is a tool that let's trans people exist in online spaces without such constant, exhausting vigilance. That's the point. And even then you gotta keep your eyes peeled. Anyone who is telling you not to trust that isn't invested in making the tool better because that defeats the purpose of the tool. They probably just want to take away that security from you

Fayn keeps giving me these frowning looks. I told him to shut up, considering keeping the kenkus under control is usually his problem. He told me to stop being a bastard and to keep leaving the kenkus under his control. Kinda love that he’s started swearing and standing up to me more, but today it was annoying. Elefteria keeps giving me weird looks too.
Update: she walked over and said she misses Petrus too. Dunno what she’s talking about. I checked on the Transportation Circle though, and it seems to be in working order.

Hydra Island spotted on the coastline. Stopped to weather out storm coming in from the west.
Atticus and Seraphina are seasick again. Jingle’s still moping.
There is something weird about a crewmember coming or going on the Thunderbrand. Theraga’s sandbox is still down there, and Rachmiirik** keeps tending to the flowers. They don’t look quite the same, though. Frecks left some stuff behind too--Note, write to him next time we hit the mainland--although I think Petrus took some of the stuff. Not sure. I’ll check inventory later, I probably wrote it down.
My mother once told me that Shochraosxurwka*** remembers who she has carried, and that those who stay longer leave more of an impression. I think I’m starting to believe it more. Not that I didn’t believe her before, but I guess there’s a difference between knowing about it and actually seeing it. It’s weird.
Over the past few days, I’ve been half expecting to see Petrus around. I always look around anyway to make sure I don’t step on any kenkus, but this is a little different. It’s fucking frustrating. And annoying, because there isn’t anyone anymore to boost us when the wind is fucking slow. I’m gonna have to get another wizard. If I’m being honest, I don’t want another wizard. Well, I do. And I’m sure they’ll fit right in if they’re enough like the rest of us, eventually. The kenkus are still singing that stupid goddamn travelling song he taught them, and so his voice keeps ringing out across the deck at stupid times. I almost punted Peaches across the deck because she came up behind me and said something in his voice and I replied, forgetting that he’s not here anymore.
Feyn told me that the others are starting to get a little fed up with my shortness. I don’t think I’m being short with anyone. I’m a perfectly reasonable woman.
Okay maybe I over exaggerated what happened with Jingles and Cabbages. Fine. Whatever. I’ll update the kaper later and give him nest permissions again. See? Perfectly reasonable.
