I know other writers feel the same, and we often feel like we’re only valued for our contributions. Eh, not really. Life shit that is snuffing out my joy for most everything. At least as far as this account is concerned, I’m trying to take a step back and give myself a genuine break from the pressure of writing and posting. It’s one thing I can do to alleviate a larger issue that doesn’t just pertain to this space.

I’ve needed breaks from this hobby before, when I was very busy or just feeling burnt out, but I never really gave them to myself because I still felt guilty for not writing—and that’s not much of a break if I’m thinking about it all the time. Mind you, it’s an unpaid hobby🙄 Why I create this pressure for myself, I have no idea.

But I’m very #unwell in other aspects of my life, so, for once, this account is the least of my priorities and it’s the first thing being thrown overboard to lighten the load. I considered making a post to let y’all know, but I couldn’t decide if I wanted to—if anyone cared or if it would be received well, if just disappearing for a while, no warning, would be easier. Alas, here’s the post, I guess.

Interesting. I haven’t used AO3 in a really, really long time and I never very much liked the UI. I don’t know, would my fics being on there be something people would enjoy?

I will say, though, it would be quite a bit of work to go through my docs and post all of my writing there, especially being as busy as I am. So busy, I’ve been struggling to write new stuff or see the point in this account🥀
