“and what makes you think i’d want to live that long? you know, parts stop working and there are certain parts i can’t live without. and as for that whole sugar baby thing, i use people, not the other way around. i’m not a pushover. but don’t worry, i’ll put it in my will that i want you to say the eulogy at my funeral. it’d be the perfect time to profess your undying love for me, of course then it would be too late for you to act on it, but i’ll be watching in spirit…literally.” johnny said with a laugh, taking another long sip from his drink. he wasn’t rare for him to joke about such morbid things, he wasn’t one to take life too seriously, especially not his own. "he got his hot as fuck wife because fame marries fame, money marries money. it’s a simple system, really.” he said with a shrug and a purse of his lips. “well the prettier ones are the ones you have to work for and as much as i love the chase and the game, sometimes a man’s gotta do what a man’s gotta do when nature calls.” he said with a grin, taking a long sip from his glass. “ah yes, she was the daughter of one of my father’s business rivals. a virgin, too. it was certainly a rewarding conquest. taught her everything she knows and she was definitely a solid eight and a half, don’t be jealous, khair.” he said with a wink. "must be boring, those prince charming types. i hear a suit of armor makes for a cold, cold bedside. though it wouldn’t be a crime if you were to, i don’t know, ruin one of them. heartbreak builds character, or so i’ve heard.” he said with a shrug of his shoulders. johnny never cared enough about anyone or anything to feel for other people. his heart was a mere block of ice and he preferred it that way. “i suppose there’s a certain allure to the darkness.” he said, leaning closer to her, a mischievous grin on his lips. “after all, it’s always much more fun to find someone who plays with your demons instead of running from them, isn’t that right, sweetheart?” he asked, tilting his head to the side, knowing very well that they both just so happened to be that person to each other. "i’d be more than happy to prove that i know exactly what you like, but then again, we are just friends, it’d really be a tragedy if we ruined that, wouldn’t it?“ he said, a cheeky grin forming on his lips. "so you’re telling me that you’d be able to handle me going into explicit detail about just how much a clothing optional policy would benefit you? we’ll see about that.” he said with a devious smirk, making a mental note to bring it up again later. "oh, but of course. we are the best of friends, after all.” he said with a firm nod. but even he knew that wasn’t entirely true. because while they were incredibly close for years, that closeness has developed into something more. the both of them have been dancing on this thin line since they were teenagers, sometimes ever so slightly coming close to crossing it, but never quite getting there. and as she spoke her next sentence, he knew she was right. he bedded plenty of women, but she was always the one in his head and he always went to sleep at night wondering what it’d be like to touch her, torturing himself with the thought of it because he’d never really have her. "and i don’t even compare to those little yale lacrosse players who are going to be given their father’s law firms as a graduation present that you fawn over and that kills you.“ he said, flashing her a wink as he lead her inside. taking off his suit blazer and tossing it to the side, he rolled up the sleeves of his button down, plopping down on the couch and immediately reaching for the freshly rolled joints on the coffee table that he told the maids to have ready for him by the time he got back from the bar. picking one of them up, he placed it in between his lips, lit it and took a long hit, exhaling a cloud of smoke in the air along with a long sigh of relief. life truly was much better high. looking over at eleanor, he gave her a lazy grin, holding out the joint for her to take. “help yourself, sweetheart.”
eleanor shrugged. ‘’ i just figured you’d grow up to be one of those wealthy man that REFUSES to die? like, they’re a hundred and ten and still breathing? so then you can annoy everyone ‘till your last breath.’’ the girl chuckled at the next statement. ‘’ oh johnny, you’re impossible. i thought that you of ALL people you’d know there’s many other ways to have fun.’’ she cocked a brow with a smirk placed on her lips. ‘’ if i were you, i wouldn’t leave the eulogy speech for me. who knows what i could say? reveal all your dirty secrets? i’m not the type to profess my love at funerals, just NOT my cup of tea. so don’t worry, if i ever love you, you’ll hear it before it’s too late.’’ the brunette winked at her friend. the last statement was debatable. elle wouldn’t tell him anything of the matter unless he forced it out of her. ‘’ don’t tell me those kinds of things j, idealistically, you marry for LOVE. so you know jenna could’ve just fallen for his...looks.’’ eleanor grinned. she knew it wasn’t true. in this world you married for business, whether it was for money or fame, your heart didn’t make the choice. although, the brunette didn’t care much since her heart didn’t make great choices ( if it did any at all ). ‘’ you’re not a caveman j, you can restrain yourself until a pretty face comes along. trust me, it’s worth the wait.’’ the girl licked her lips. it’s what she did anyways. she swept men off their feet ( the ones worthwhile ) and a few days later, ditch them. the girl scoffed ‘’ as if, i’d be jealous of her. j, you have to step up your game if you want to make ME jealous.’’ she rolled her eyes with an amused glint in them. ‘’ maybe i’ll try it someday, when i have less things to do & worry about.’’ eleanor nodded. she’d certainly give it a try, since she was interested by the little experience. ‘’ oh so i’ve heard.’’ the girl tried to keep her cool. she wasn’t about to reveal him that she did suffer from heartbreak. the worst part was, it did change her. now she was more scheming and calculated, almost robotic. eleanor tilted her head and let a small laugh escape her lips. ‘’ i’ll have to agree with you there.’’ she nodded, knowing fully of what they really talking about. the girl just lifted an brow due to his next statement. ‘’ i’m sure you would j, but then again, we do have BOUNDARIES that shall not be crossed.’’ she nodded, although they did sometimes unintentionally crossed them, but just for a while and not too much. in their defense, many friends teased each other the way they did, right? ‘’ now you’re just thinking i’m a PRUDE j. i’d be able to handle any description while keeping it in my pants. although, i’m not so sure i could say the same about some other people.’’ she stared at him, making it obvious she was talking about the boy. ‘’ you know i couldn’t find a better FRIEND than you right, johnny cash?’’ she placed her hand on his shoulder before squeezing it lightly. their friendship was messy and they had clearly chemistry together. although, the silently agreed that no matter the circumstances ( and the frustration ) they wouldn’t cross it. elle rolled her eyes. it was no secret that no matter what girl ended up in johnny’s bed, she envied ( just a little bit ) them. they actually had the chance to satisfy him ( not even as much as she would ) & she’d never be able to. maybe that’s why she couldn’t get along with any of his one night stands but she’d never admit it to herself. ‘’ the lacrosse players are just fine, thank you.’’ eleanor said, as if dismissing his prior statement, avoiding giving him an answer. because no matter how good of a liar she was, eleanor knew that johnny would see through her right away. elle detached the first few buttons of her shirt, it was hot in the room, hotten than in the bar. she then sat on the couch, not too far but not too close to johnny, so she wouldn’t feel as suffocated but rather more relaxed. her fingers wrapped themselves around the joint, as if it was an old habit, and brought it up to her lips. as soon as she took a hit out of it she extended her hand to give it to her friend back. ‘’ why thank you mr. valmont, you are very kind.’’ she smiled teasingly.
