Warning to trans girls: Bicalutamide contains lactose
After two miserable weeks of feeding myself what to my body is basically a low dose of poison, I finally found out today after digging through fine print on side effects that bicalutamide actually contains more lactose than it does its active ingredient. If you’re one of the lucky 30% of humans that mutated to be able to drink milk after you stopped, you know, breastfeeding, then maybe this is a great option for your HRT. If you belong to the other 70%, please approach this shit with caution. It may be a very small amount of lactose and maybe even most of you can handle it, but just please be aware that despite it’s growing reputation as a godsent replacement for spironolactone, a quick glance at the possible side effects of bicalutamide should make it clear that it’s anything but some kind of side-effect free miracle drug. since longer dresses get unwieldy, perhaps we could split them into two dresses, one around each leg 🤔
Studies have shown that putting babies/small children in dresses and skirts changes their behavior (babies/toddlers move less-and since people tend to put girl babies in dresses that means girl babies move less while their boy counterparts don’t get this treatment and move more). People also tend to put girls in nice clothes a lot at young ages and tell them not to get it dirty, essentially teaching girls that it’s more important to stay looking nice than it is to play or do anything else (when playing is the main way that children learn).
So what I’m saying is: put all babies and young children in clothes that are easy to move in (basically not a dress or a skirt) and don’t worry about them getting their clothes dirty. You can get other clothes but your child only gets one childhood.
It is arguably feminist to do this.

Plus not all those kids may stay girls and may hate the dresses/skirts and look back on their younger years in school with disgust because of how they were treated/forced to act
If you’re gonna make kids wear a uniform, at least make it so all kids wear gender neutral clothing but can wear a dress/skirt only if they so wish.
Like dude, if you got a girly kid, let them wear what they want. You got a tomboy, let her wear her pants. Let your daughter wear that dress she wants, let your trans daughter wear that skirt she wants, let your nonbianary kid wear what they want. And stop forcing girls to wear cute ‘feminine’ clothes just because you want them to act or look a particular way.

As an actual gender-fluid person I approve of this message, DR. JAMES BARRY WAS A TRANSGENDER MAN, HE WAS NOT GENDER-FLUID, HE SPECIFICALLY IDENTIFIED AS A MAN AND WANTED PEOPLE TO SEE HIM AS A MAN.
I could be reading this wrong, but I feel as though the fact that they put genderfluid instead of transgender was:
a) Meant to soften his transgender identity, which is digusting (e.g. “well half of these people think of this person as a woman and half of them think of this person as a man so we’ll just compromise! Everyone is right!!”)
b) Intended to cause a divide in the LGBTQ community (much like that “liberals say santa being a man is Bad and Not Progressive Enough” article tried to turn people against the LGBTQ community), which is nothing new.
Either way, it’s extremely disrespectful to this transgender historical figure, and I hope none of you cisgender writers out there make the same poor choice as the director did.
