Modeling Fiasco! (Open Starter)

The blackette was running through her checklist as she walked the streets of Kalos. This new and bustling town had brought a lot of attention to people from all over different region, including Elesa. Usually, her schedule would be packed with modeling shoots and trainer battles, giving the woman absolutely no days off or even time to herself. She decided flat out to take at least one day off, to explore the new region she had heard so many stories about.

As she wandered her way into Lumiose City, where all of the rumors seemed almost to spring to life. People were wearing all kinds of new, dazzling fashion, and rollerblading through the streets. The structures and skyscrapers were certainly something new, and the smell of bakery shops aligning the streets made her mouth drool slightly. Elesa wished she would have visited this town sooner.

Starting to make her way down the streets, she stopped in front of this cafe named La Petite Pâtisserie, and Elesa went ahead inside, not being able to contain her hunger. She stepped up the the counter, ordering her food. "Je voudrais avoir une crème brûlée s'il vous plaît." Elesa said with a smile, the cashier replied before going off to grab the pastry. Looking over her shoulder, she noticed someone who seemed to be having a bit of a hard time ordering. She guessed that this certain bakery only had french speaking workers, making it rather difficult to order if you didn't know the language.

"Excuse me.. Do you want some help with ordering? I speak rather fluent French."

"—When I was a kid?! Yeah, I’ll admit that it happened, but I’m way more skilled as a trainer, now! I know how to handle my Pokemon! Skuntank’s just super feisty."

It could almost be considered embarrassment— the way of which the words forced past her lips —and as the model began to walk towards her, Roxie crossed her arms immaturely, a tough sigh escaping her. Elesa was treating her like a little kid, and Roxie knew she was no little kid! She was… what, how old, now? 16? 17? She certainly wasn’t a little kid.

A gleam of surprise shone in the guitarist’s eyes as she felt Elesa ruffle her hair, to which her only response was to swat her hand away. She spent awhile in the morning getting that ready, and she didn’t need it messed up, even by someone that Roxie was beginning to find herself able to rely on. Clearing her throat, she tilted her head back a tad, as to actually be able to see Elesa’s face. Damn, did being short suck.

"…yeah, I can definitely handle my Pokemon. Skuntank just…" Biting her lip, she sheepishly cracked her knuckles. "Skuntank just wanted to… to be a rebel, or somethin’! I can handle all ‘a them, no problem!"

Elesa let another small giggle escape her lips. Seeing Roxie all feisty was the same girl that she grew up with. Only.. this time she wasn't as clingy as she was as a child. When her hand was swatted away, she only laughed once more. Again, it was cute to see the girl like this.

"Yeah yeah... I know that excuse Roxie." She teased, before smiling again. "I think you've used that one once or twice." Elesa smiled, she enjoyed teasing her, because of her short temper the model was always reminded of her younger years.

"Other than teasing you Roxie.. how have you been? I think you might have grown a inch or two, and your hair has gotten longer too."

Roxie anxiously watched Elesa, her lack of proper stamina evidently rendering herself useless in catching up with her very own pokemon. Shamefully, really, but there wasn’t much she could do. Letting a hand rise to her hip, she regained ‘proper’ posture, proper here meaning decently slouched.

Watching the scene left her quiet, though she soon scurried over to the model, Skuntanks pokeball in hand. Roxie flashed a quick smile to Elesa, before letting her voice rise enough so that her pokemon could hear her, loud and clearly.

"C’mon, Skuntank, you’ve caused ‘nough damn trouble already."

Giving a moment as to allow her Skuntank back into the pokeball, she then put the ball back into her bag, a sense of irritability washed over her expression. That soon changed, however, as she slipped into the carefree attitude that she most commonly possessed.

"Thanks, ‘lesa. I really owe ya’ one."

Elesa watched as the white haired girl caught a moment of breath before she caught up to where the two were standing, eye to eye. Letting out a small sigh, she called her Zebstrika back into it's pokeball before fasting it behind her back. 

"It wasn't a big deal Roxie. I'm used to this kind of thing happening." She replied, waving a hand slightly before she started to walk over to the girl. "Don't you remember having this happen to you all the time as a kid? Because I do."

The blackette let a small grin wash across her face before she started to laugh. She reached a arm out, gently ruffling her hair. It was her kind, teasing demeanor that made Elesa more mature than she already was as a model.

"Dammit, Skuntank! Come back, doofus!"

Anyone could catch a fair glimpse of the guitarist as she took foot in attempt to catch up with her Skuntank, it having made a rash decision of scurrying off. Hell, Roxie might not have noticed, if it weren’t for her reflexes, which now had aided her as she ran for her Pokemon. Boots slamming against the ground as her pace grew, she soon came to a stop, keeling over and gasping for breath. Oh, great— her energy had dissipated fully, yet she still hadn’t caught up with her Pokemon!

"Ghh, what t’do… what t’do…"

Tears stung at the corners of her eyes, but she tried her best to ignore them, wanting no more than to get her stupid Skuntank back. Wouldn’t it be a sweet, kind idea to help her out?

Elesa was wandering through the woods, deciding to take a break from the bustling city that was Nimbasa and wandered her way into the Virbank City. There was really no special reason for her visit other than a casual trip. But a part of her as well wanted to visit Roxie, the gym leader of the small town. And maybe along the way, she would stop for a visit at the Pokestar Studios.

Wandering through the town around mid-day, the woman heard a familiar howling of a high pitched voice. It made her stop, looking around for the white haired girl that would soon follow it. "Did she lose her pokemon... again?" She asked herself, letting a small sigh roll off her lips before she looked around for the girl. And there she was, hunched over and out of breath as Elesa saw the girl's Skuntank running right at her.

"You were always a fast one... Lets go Zebstrika~!"

The red light from her pokeball shot out, before the black and white stripped pokemon appeared before Elesa. The girl grinned before putting a hand on her hip and awaiting for Roxie's Skuntank to stand down. "Come now... You're making poor Roxie run all over for you. That's not very polite Skuntank."

     Once again, Emmet was reaching out and touching her again, only this time one hand lightly grasped her shoulder whilst the other took a hold of the zipper, fingers jiggling it some to try and estimate just exactly how stuck the bit of metal was.

     ”Well—” Pause because he got focused on attempting to pull it once again. “—It’s pretty stuck, my dear. I think I can fix it though, just give me a few more minutes, okay? And if worse comes to worse then we can always find some scissors and cut you out of it, right?”

     Wait, he shouldn’t of said that! —Right? It was just a lame attempt to try and both lighten the mood and make her laugh. 

     ”Aha….I-I mean, only if you were okay with that, Elesa.”

     Once again, he shut his mouth and resumed working on trying to get the zipper unstuck, and after several attempts and quiet muttered curses did he finally get the damn thing to unzip. 

     His normal grin replaced the nervous smile from before, the Subway Boss now stepping away to give the gym leader the space she probably wanted and needed to change. 

     ”I’ll step out so you can change, I’ll be right on that couch, I swear!”

Feeling Emmet's hands touch her skin, the woman shivered once more at his touch. Her cheeks burned a soft red, embarrassed like no tomorrow. And his husky voice wasn't helping the woman in her position at all. "Y-Yeah... That's fine..."

It felt like forever until she finally felt the material release. She grabbed the front of it, not wanting it to slip right off of her and allow for her friend to see the model bare. 

"Y-Yes... Thanks." Elesa mumbled, before hearing the door close. Never before had she ever ripped off her clothing so quickly before changing into her normal attire. She was panting slightly, looking out to see Emmet on the couch, playing with her Emolga. "Emmet..." She smiled, finding the scene to be adorable.

     ”Er….Uh—…….O-Okay…..” He could feel a bead of sweat roll down his temple, but instead of raising a hand to wipe it away he merely questioned it. What did he have to sweat over? This was just Elesa, his childhoodfriend….The childhood friend that he’d…..always had….a crush on…..

     ”Are my hands too cold?” Her little shiver didn’t go unnoticed, so he pulled the appendage away the second she made the motion. Instead of waiting for her reply, he pulled his gloves off and tossed them to the side over onto the couch. There, much better. 

     Once again, he reached out towards her and began to unhook each and every one of the little hooks that were attached to her outfit. It took him several seconds, as his hands quickly grew sweaty which in turn made it difficult for him to be able to grasp the little bits of metal. When the final hook had been undone, Emmet paused his actions and adjusted his body some so that he was leaning over her shoulder.

     ”Do you think you’ll need help with the zipper? If yes, then uh, please don’t be afraid to uh, y’know, ask me….”

It wasn't because his hands were cold, but rather the feeling of Emmet's silky gloves sent shivers down the woman's spine. After these past two years, the man's touch was foreign to her, but yet she felt a small longing for the man. Though, she would never admit to that. Not now. "J-Just a little..." She mumbled.

Looking over to see Emmet throw his glove off to the side, she whipped her head back around as he moved close once again. This time though, he was going fast, as if he was nervous to do this. Maybe it was a bad idea after all, asking her childhood friend to do this for her. She could have called for her assistants to help her, but why didn't she? Elesa noticed Emmet leaning over her shoulder as she clutched onto the outfit, feeling the fabric loosing slightly from her body. 

"A-U-Umm....I-I think so..." Elesa replied, looking away with her bright red cheeks. Her heart pounded once more, embarassed to even say such a thing. "It's jammed I-I think..."

     ”Could always wear my coat and hat when we leave, nobody’ll notice or say a thing, I’m sure of it!” It was just an idea of his, but with her much smaller stature there always was the possibility someone might notice and call them out. 

     ”…W-Well! You were always so busy before you left, I’d assumed you were already booked for the next two weeks!” He remembered that the woman was often so busy that he’d often call in and book her for ‘photo-shoots’ which instead consisted of them running around all over Nimbasa and goofing off. 

     Emmet shot her a sheepish smile before placing his rear in the seat that was gestured to him. When she left, he cooed at the Emolga still on his shoulder and murmured that he missed her as well. The sound of the door opening made him look up, his head tilting to the side some. Oh no. There was a problem, it was obvious with how red her face was and how she hid the rest of her body. 

     ”…Is there an issue?" 

     Oh—- She needed help getting it off?! His own face turned red at that, and he prayed that nobody would suddenly barge in and assume the wrong thing. He reached out with a gloved hand, his index finger ever-so-gently brushing against the middle of her upper back before he pulled it back. 

     ”…Should I start with the zippers or hooks, first?”

When Emmet finally joined her side, the blackette only seemed to continue to flush. Her face at this point must have been a tomato right now. She was so glad that though, that Emmet couldn't see the expressions that she made now. 

Feeling Emmet's gloved hand gently touch her silky back, she shivered. There was something about this whole situation that made her heart race. It felt like it was going to explode out of her chest. Of course, she had both males and females help her undress and redress before.. how come this time it was different..? She used to never blush or be embarrassed, and now this was entirely new.

"The hooks... otherwise you won't be a-able to unzip the outfit." She said, mumbling softly. "I-I think it might be jammed though, so be careful."

In reality, she could even care less if Emmet had to break the zipper to get her out. Heck, she was about to push him out of the room and cut her way out with a pair of scissors because this was so embarrassing.

     ”Trouble, huh? Such as trouble from the press? You know that somebody has probably already alerted them that you’re here…” He frowned some, disliking the fact that the poor woman was constantly harassed by the media. He’d had his own fair share of dealing with it as well, though not as much, and the times they did show up were annoying even for a people-person like himself.

     ”My Eelektross missed you as well, but I’m afraid that he’ll knock you over in his haste to show this— I’ll let him out later, in a place where there’s less furniture for him to knock over.” Emmet chuckled some, a finger scratching at the top of the little Pokemon’s head gently. “I’m glad she missed me though.”

     The Boss waited patiently for her to answer his question, his mind already braced for what the man assumed to be the obvious answer; Sorry Emmet, my evening’s already jam-packed! His expression turned into one of complete shock when Elesa instead said she wasn’t busy after the event was over.

     ”R-Really?!— Wait, wait…Pardon me.” He cleared his throat and shook his head, only for him to then realize she’d asked him a question pertaining to if he needed anything to eat or drink.

     ”Ah, no no, really I’m quite content for now. Go ahead and take your time, really. I’m not going to go anywhere, I’ll still be here when you return.”

Elesa gave him a small smile, trying to please the man. "I know. But I would like to try and keep myself under cover for as long as possible. It helps the both of us." After having the media around her for so long, she got used to it. The harassment, the stalking, etc etc.. but it was still rather kind of annoying. 

But seeing Emmet's surprised reaction, she couldn't help but laugh at it. "What? Did you think I was going to be packed? Emmet, I just returned to Nimbasa and the only people that I have seen are my parents. Besides that... you're the only other one." 

Elesa gave him a soft smile, motioning him once more to take a seat before she herself went over to pick up her normal outfit. Moving into her bathroom off the the side, the model went to change. She removed her headpiece quite easily, but then when it got to unhooking and unzipping the rest of her outfit, she realized she needed help. Sure, the untied the black ribbon on top, but she couldn't reach anything else in the back with how big the outfit was. Popping her head out of the room, she looked over at Emmet, her face a bright, cherry red.

"H-Hey Emmet... I-I need you for a second.."

Elesa stretched a hand out, waving her hand to motion for him to join her over where she was. When he finally did make his way over, she turned around to him, still bright red. "I-I need your help to take this off...Everything is r-really big and tight and I can't reach any of the hooks or zippers in the back.."

     ”It’s still beautiful, in fact, even if you were bald you’d still be gorgeous! The men of Nimbasa are going to be tripping over each other to get your attention!” Despite him being sour about this, the Subway Boss managed to keep his tone playful, a quick wink being sent her way before he was being pulled into the room by her.

     ”Pulling me to into your room so soon, Elesa?” His tone had taken a little bit of a flirty edge, but the goofy grin on his face let the woman know he wasn’t being serious. He glanced around her dressing room curiously, then spotted her Emolga and gave it a little wave. “You haven’t missed too much in your absence…I think? I’ve been a little uh, busy with work and all.”

A little too busy. 

     ”You’d have better luck asking Ingo about everything that’s gone on, actually….” He raised a hand up and rubbed at his neck awkwardly, then coughed into his fist. This was getting a little….Awkward? He didn’t really know what to say to her, and he was afraid if he rattled on and on about how much he missed her then she’d feel bad— That was the last thing Emmet wanted her to feel.

     ”…A-Are you doing anything after this? We could uh…G-Go out, y’know?”

Elesa's cheeks flustered more after Emmet's remark. "S-Shut up...! I-I just got back and the last thing we both need is any trouble..." She mumbled, looking down at her feet once again. She held onto her arm, trying to find the right words to say. 

The emolga jumped off the couch, seeming happy and excited to see Emmet. Crawling its way up his body, she perched carefully on his shoulder before leaning forward to nuzzle softly against his cheek. The blackette looked up, and couldn't help but let a small smile cross her lips. 

"She missed you the most I think, Emmet."

Of course, the awkward silence between the two figures, causing Elesa to enclose herself once more. God, why couldn't she just get a hold of herself?! 'I am acting like such a spoiled child!' She thought, her mind arguing with itself. Her emolga looked over between the two of them, seeming confused as what to do herself.

 ”…A-Are you doing anything after this? We could uh…G-Go out, y’know?”

"Ah.. I don't have anything planned. Though.. I think before we leave, that I should change." She said, giving him a small smile as she pointed to her modeling outfit once more. "Please. Sit down for a minute. I promise it won't take long at all. Would you like anything to drink? Or maybe some food to snack on?"

    Should he take his hat off? No, no— His hair wouldn’t look right since he’d been wearing the thing nearly all day save for his lunch break. His coat maybe? No, that was an even dumber idea. He idly started to pull at his gloves, the man struggling to keep still as he waited at the door.

     After several seconds of waiting Emmet bit down on his lower lip, his expression changing into a more unsure one….Maybe Elesa was out amongst the crowd saying hello to everyone? What if she was looking for him right now?! That idea made him take a step or two back away from the door, his shoes once again virtuously soundless as they were set back down.

…This….This was a mista— 

     Was that movement he heard? Perhaps she hadn’t heard him speak, or she was too busy changing into another outfit. Whatever it was that kept her from answering the door was important, he could respect that. Then the door was creaking open, the man peering over his shoulder to see whomever it was that opened it.

     It was her, and she was in her outfit from earlier. Emmet immediately swallowed and raised a hand up to pull at his shirt collar— Was it hot in here or was it just him? Maybe taking his coat off would of been a good idea. “—Elesa? Hey, my eyes are up here.” Slowly, he reached out and tilted her chin up so that she was looking up at him; Emmet made sure to replace the mope-y look from before with the grin she knew so well.

     ”You haven’t changed too much, and what has changed makes you look just as lovely as ever— if not more— if I may say so myself…It’s wonderful to have you back, Elesa.”

Keeping her eyes down at her feet, the model was trying to find words to say. She wasn't mentally prepared for this, and what to say. Hundreds of words ran through her head, trying to select the first ones that could make or break this entire conversation. Of course, she felt a familiar gloved hand touch her chin, tilting her head up so that her crystal blue eyes met his.

”You haven’t changed too much, and what has changed makes you look just as lovely as ever— if not more— if I may say so myself…It’s wonderful to have you back, Elesa.”

Emmet's grin made the model feel her heart skip a few beets, and she felt her cheeks flush once more in embarrassment. Gosh, she was acting like such a child. Here they were, talking for the first time in two years and Elesa couldn't even muster up the courage to say hello to her friend again.

"...Y-Yeah.. Thanks. I did contemplate cutting my hair once again. It's just so long now."

Elesa could feel the conversation getting to a awkward point, her eyes trying to wander away from his handsome face- wait, woah, what was she thinking?! This was her best friend. her childhood friend. no no this wasn't right! "D-Do you want to come in? Yeah come on inside Emmet!" She stuttered, grabbing his arm and dragging the male inside before shutting the door. She didn't need the press to harass her alright at her first week back in Nimbasa.

     Emmet grinned a little more to himself when she hurried away after her final bow, her cheeks just as red as the skin of a Charmeleon— Wait, did he really just think that? That wasn’t exactly flattering now, was it? Why was he thinking about this? He shouldn’t just be standing around! He should be rushing back there and saying hello! 

    The Subway Boss smoothed both his dress shirt and coat down, then adjusted his tie and hat before taking a deep breath and attempting to try and make his way through the crowd to where he knew there was a hallway that lead to the back rooms. Would she want to see him though? The idea she wouldn’t enjoy seeing him caused him to start sweating as he paused at the start of the hallway.

     The steps that he took were ones that were carefully calculated, his shoes barely making a sound as they touched down on the floor. He carefully peered into the rooms on both sides, each one being empty until he arrived at a closed door, one that had her name on it.

     He cleared his throat before speaking, afraid that the next words to leave his lips would be high-pitched. “…E-Elesa? Are you in here? It’s….me, Emmet.”

After a few minutes of silence, Elesa was petting her emolga and trying to relax from the show. Her 6-inch pumps were taken off, and she laid down on the couch, her eyes closed. "....." Of course, when she heard a familiar, low voice call from outside of her door, the model's eyes shot right open.

“…E-Elesa? Are you in here? It’s….me, Emmet.”

"Oh no...." She thought to herself, almost throwing herself off of the couch. What was she to do? She knew that the subway master was here, but after two years of absolute silence, what was a girl to do? Just only minutes ago, her heart was leaping out of her chest and her face was cherry red just seeing his face once more. Elesa didn't think she would be seeing him so soon, and wondered for two whole years while she was away when she would be able to talk to him once more. 

Moving towards the door, Elesa hesitated to open it. Would it be right to not answer, and keep herself isolated away from Emmet even longer? Or would she open the door, and see her childhood friend once more? Both choices ran though her head, making her indecisive of which one to choose. Of course, after several seconds of debating, she swallowed the lump that was stuck in her throat and slowly opened the door until you could see her entire body, which was still in her emolga costume from earlier.

"E-Emmet...." The blackette mumbled softly, looking down at his feet. She was just too embarrassed to look at his face. What would he say to her? What would she say back? What could they even start off with? Hello?
