#I'm in a Mood where I want to rant about LoS again bc wowzers it was Bad#like tbh I'm reading TDA for mark he's the one I care about#julian and emma are chill but don't interest me as much#especially as a ship#we get it cassie you like white heteros with forbidden feelings#but I was so pumped for my precious faerie son to do great things and?? he was reduced to ship bait for lack of a better term#he and kieran and cristina ALL got robbed of proper character development though honestly ?? is anyone surprised ?? at all???#bc I'm not. but I'm still massively disappointed.#the whole withholding kieran's memory arc just shattered any character development he could have had#and she set him up for good development at the end of LM ??#she started the process of redeeming him#but instead of actually writing the gritty stuff of kieran apologizing and working to build people's trust in him again#ESPECIALLY MARK'S TRUST TBH#cassie just chucked cristina between him and mark and was like ''here have a threesome''#and don't get me wrong I am SO down for poly ships#I would die to have a good ot3 okay i love poly ships they need to be written more and be normalized#BUT THESE THREE DIDN'T GET THE PROPER EMOTIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND NECESSARY CONVERSATIONS FOR A HEALTHY OT3#there was no point at which kieran /really/ apologized julian and emma and made an effort to regain their trust bc#he didn't get his memories back until almost the very end of the book ????#there was no time to fit those scenes in#no time for him to have a real heart to heart with mark#let alone for mark to talk to cristina or kieran about how he feels or what he wants and the same for them#and to work out if kieran could get over his jealousy issues with mark and actually be open to a third person in the relationship#and like just ?????? SHE HAD SO MUCH SPACE SHE COULD HAVE USED FOR ALL THIS#ALL THAT TIME WHERE KIERAN WAS CLUELESS ABOUT WHAT HE DID#HE COULD HAVE BEEN FIXING IT#HE COULD HAVE BEEN MAKING UP FOR IT !!#like ???? it was just such a bullshit book in regards to mark and cristina and kieran#and like again i'd love to ship him with both of them#but I just need development

           she looked LIKE A PRINCESS IN A FAIRY TALE, waiting at the top of her tower for someone to ride up and rescue her. not that traditional princess behavior was like isabelle at all. isabelle with her whip and boots and knives would chop anyone who tried to pen her up in a tower into pieces, build a bridge out of the remains, and walk carelessly to freedom, her hair looking ( f a b u l o u s ) the entire time.
