“Yeah, this place started as just a rundown grocery store that poppa bought with his G.I. bill after coming back from Nam, he fixed it up right.” He said getting himself a bowl of soup and walking toward his room. “He’s out with the guys from the local veterans club, so he won’t be back till pretty late.”

They nodded as if they had any clue what he was talking about. Thank the gods they were good at faking knowing things. They hesitantly slid off their sunglasses, but after judging the light wouldn’t be too harsh for their eyes, just hooked them on their shirt. “Sounds good.”

“Believe it or not, every one of these books came into that used book store miss Dixon owns. She holds on to them for me and just gives them to me when I come in. She also made the cocoa I have you last night.”, he says. “And all the notebooks are the notes I’ve took on them.”

“Neato!” They grinned. “Oh, wait, the cocoa!” They held out their hand, and out of thin air, the cup he had given them last night was sitting in it, nicely cleaned. “Here ya go! Would have given it back earlier but I figured it would be polite to wash it first.”

Odyn, my godfather, is really my great uncle, he was the only one to claim me. He taught me everything I would need to know to find the bastard that orphaned me. To quote magnificent 7 'I seek justice, but I'll take revenge.' He also taught me to help anyone in need, which lead to me helping that hemokinetic. Who I kinda developed feelings for, but she had to leave before I could tell her. Oh. And I've known Al Mason all my life, he's the giant.",he said, and then added, "And before you ask, I have killed a few dirtbags in my time."
